Bossed Up Unlimited LLC | Application Preview
Bossed Up Unlimited LLC is seeking government grants to enhance its operations by relocating to a more modern facility and acquiring new equipment and inventory for improved client experiences. The owner is certified in providing medical cranial prosthesis and plans to upgrade the salon into a Day Spa, offering both beauty and non-invasive laser lipo services. Funding is critical to facilitate this expansion, especially since growth has been stunted due to COVID-related restrictions.
The business stands out by addressing a growing need for these services in the community, particularly among people of color who are often unaware of their availability. As a veteran and a woman of color, the owner is uniquely positioned to connect with the community and promote these opportunities. The salon also prioritizes community involvement through initiatives like providing free hairstyles for underprivileged children and supporting local food and toy drives.
In terms of competition, Bossed Up Unlimited LLC competes with established salons like Jae Undres, Gaston’s, and Legendary Cuts. However, the business differentiates itself by creating a welcoming, home-like atmosphere where clients can enjoy exceptional service. It focuses on specialty offerings in hair extensions and replacement solutions, setting itself apart from typical salons.

Funding Usage
To locate a better more modern location and to purchase new implements and equipment and inventory (hair) for a smoother experience for the clients. I am currently certified to provide medical cranial prosthesis but in desperate need of funding to expand my current operations.

Business Plan
I have recently acquired certification to provide medical cranial prosthesis and also certification for non invasive laser Lipo services and with this new vision turning the salon into not just a beauty Salon but a Day Spa as well. New hires on on hold due to the limitations of COVID to keep a safe space to work as well as provide space for clients and guest. This is a growing field and very few people of color in my community even know this is something they are even able to get though it’s needed. Because I am a Veteran and a woman of color I feel I can connect with people to show them these opportunities are there and achievable. I also give back to the community in which I service in many ways. Back to school I partner with other Barbers and stylists to give free styles for under privileged children in our community. School supplies as well as help with food drives and toy drives during Thanksgiving and Christmas. I also wish to open in more locations

Self Identified Competition
Three Salons I know are Jae Undres which is a Salon that has been in the community for a long time. There is Gaston’s they too are pillars in the community and has served for years. And Legendary Cuts a barber shop right in the same business plaza as my Salon. I am not just a Salon. I feel I am set a part because I provide a welcome home feel at my location. A safe, friendly, clean home away from home where you are able to come and look forward to visiting as well as being provided with top notch service. We are currently a Specialty salon providing excellence in extensions and hair replacement solutions.
