DevFecta, LLC | Application Preview
DevFecta, LLC is seeking government funding to sustain and grow its web development business. The requested funds will help keep operations running while enabling future expansion over the next few years. In the next five years, the goal is to transition current and new clients to paid website care plans and introduce additional custom web development services, including web hosting.
The business owner has a unique background, starting as a graphic designer before shifting to firefighting for over a decade. After realizing the physical demands of firefighting, the owner returned to school for a degree in web software development, achieving consistent academic excellence.
While DevFecta is smaller than competitors like Powerkeg and Bizzy Bizzy in the Madison area, it can still compete effectively. The owner's hands-on approach provides a personal touch, as clients deal directly with the owner for every aspect of their project, making communication streamlined and efficient.

Business Plan
Over the next 5 years I hope to have all of my current clients and additional clients onboard with paying for my website care plans and the additional custom web development services I offer. Also, I would like to make web hosting an additional service, which I'm almost ready to do. I started out as a graphic designer years ago right out of college, and after getting laid-off I chose a different career path that was firefighting. After 10+ years of following that path my body told me I needed to find something else to do. So given I've been doing web development on the side along with the firefighting, I decided to go back to school and get a degree in web software development which landed me on the Dean's list every semester until I graduated in 2019.

Self Identified Competition
My business is fairly small compared to my competitors, but I can still compete with large and small businesses in the Madison area like Powerkeg, Bizzy Bizzy, and Webstix. Given currently my business is only made up of one person, and that's me. When a client meets with DevFecta they meet the owner, sales representative, designer, and developer. So all the project details go through and are handled by one person.
