IHC LOGISTICS LLC 882681051 | Government Grant Application

IHC LOGISTICS LLC | Application Preview

IHC LOGISTICS LLC is seeking government grant funding to enhance its operations and growth potential. The requested funds will be allocated for purchasing box trucks and dump trucks, securing a facility for equipment storage, and hiring an accountant and a lawyer to ensure compliance with federal and local regulations.

The business plans to focus on government, state, and local contracting as its primary growth strategy. IHC is already certified as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and is registered with sam.gov and Alabama buys. Initially, the company will operate box trucks, with a plan to incorporate dump trucks as demand grows. Within three years, IHC aims to establish a fleet of six box trucks and three dump trucks. By year five, the business intends to expand into the agriculture sector by purchasing land for a cattle farm.

The application emphasizes the unique merits of investing in IHC, highlighting its veteran ownership and commitment to integrity, trust, and reliability. The founder, a Bronze Star veteran, is motivated by a desire to build a successful future for his family.

In terms of competition, IHC identified a few local logistics companies but found little information about them, suggesting limited competition. IHC's competitive advantage lies in its SDVOSB certification, which allows access to exclusive funding opportunities through government contracts. The business is well-positioned to capitalize on upcoming growth in Alabama, particularly in Huntsville and Montgomery, where significant projects are underway. IHC's capabilities with box and dump trucks enable the company to effectively service these projects with essential transportation needs, setting it apart from its competitors.

  • Business Plan

The growth of IHC will start with government, state, and local procurement. The entity listed is already certified as a SDVOSB and is registered with sam.gov and Alabama buys. Another source of income will be transportation I plan to start out with box trucks and then start adding dump trucks. Within the first 3 years I plan on having a fleet of 6 box trucks and 3 dumps trucks to enhance the capabilities of the company. As I stated earlier IHC is structured to participate in government contracting. By year five I plan on joining the agriculture industry by purchasing land and starting a cattle farm. Investors should invest in IHC because we are a veteran owned company that thrives on three factors integrity, trust, and dependency. As a Bronze Star veteran I hold my values to high standard which helped me become a great soldier when I served in the U.S. Army. Failing is not an option when it comes to success. My motivation for this company to succeed is driven by the future I envision for my wife and my two sons.

  • Self Identified Competition

LDP was formed 1-8-2011 there is nothing more I know about them due to not having a website or social media. FTM I found nothing on them but an address and contact information. River Region Logistics is a flatbed company out of my area and was formed 08-08-2011. The difference between IHC Logistics and the three competitors I listed above is. IHC is a certified SDVOSB which will be able to procure more funds through exclusive contracts from state and government agencies. Also adding in local contracts that can be performed due to box trucks being more accessible to a lot of places that semi trucks can not get to. Here in Alabama there is a lot of growth coming specifically in Huntsville and Montgomery. Huntsville has been growing due to Nasa and the Space Force being stationed there. Montgomery has a 600 million dollar project coming in 2023 that is funded by Maana . With these opportunity coming we will be in position to contribute transport of material such as gravel with the dump trucks for the construction sites. The box trucks will be able to transport the furniture, office supplies, and other freight needed to fill these projects once they are complete. A plus is that since IHC is certified to bid on government and state procurement we have the potential to win the bids to become the supplier and transporter for the furniture and office items. These are some of the major differences between IHC Logistics and the three competitors in my area.
