Summer Island Caribbean Buffet, Llc 863008720 | Government Grant Application

Summer Island Caribbean Buffet, Llc | Application Preview

Summer Island Caribbean Buffet, LLC is seeking government grants to fund its business expansion and enhance service quality. The grant will support hiring skilled staff, marketing efforts through social media, and participation in pop-up events across the state. The company plans to acquire a food truck to maintain mobility during slower seasons and to broaden its reach to diverse communities beyond the Haitian-American market.

Over the next five years, Summer Island aims to establish itself as a recognized chain and the leading Haitian-American catering company in the U.S. The initial focus will be on operating the food truck in Florida and potentially expanding to nearby states.

The application highlights the brand's confidence in its quality services, which have gained traction primarily through word of mouth. The owners believe that increased brand visibility will significantly boost business growth.

In terms of competition, the company faces challenges from established Haitian-American restaurants but believes its unique business model positions it for success. Unlike competitors that operate from physical locations, Summer Island stands out by offering complete delivery, setup, and cleanup services at events, along with optional serving options tailored to client requests.

  • Self Identified Competition

Our major competitors would be a few Haitian-American restaurants such as Kasa Champet in Pembroke Pines, Madam Jones in Miami and Island 509 in Miramar. But we are still confident that our business model, with it differences, will allow us to succeed no matter what. Our competitors offer their services using brick and mortal. We have been providing our clients with a complete delivery services and set up of their food for their event. And once the event is over, we make sure to send our team to clean up and collect the utensils. Upon certain clients request we do provide the serving options also.
