Sedona Bee Company | Application Preview
Sedona Bee Company is seeking government grant funds to support their startup costs as they expect to operate at a loss during their first year. The financial assistance will be used to acquire more crops, hives, bees, and necessary tools, including an electric fence to protect against predators and supplies for their upcoming harvest.
Their business plan involves providing bee removal services, which will enhance their hive growth and benefit the local community. They intend to collaborate with local farmers, placing hives on their properties to improve crop yields. Additionally, they plan to participate in local farmers markets for community engagement and sales. A significant aspect of their vision is education: they aim to offer free workshops and sessions on beekeeping, self-sustainability, and farming at local schools and the library.
The application emphasizes that their overarching goal is to save the bees while supporting local agriculture and fostering a compassionate and resilient community. They believe that funding them would contribute to a worthy cause that benefits not only their own family business but also farmers, families, and educational initiatives in the area.
In terms of competition, they view other local beekeepers as collaborators rather than rivals. Their competitive edge lies in their commitment to community service, providing local raw honey and bee products, and promoting sustainable practices. Their mission extends beyond sales; they are dedicated to educating the public and advocating for environmental sustainability, encouraging stakeholders to join them in this important cause.

Funding Usage
Startup costs. We are still expecting this first year to be a loss. We are looking for a little help to keep moving towards our goals of saving the bees, serving the community and supporting local agriculture and farmers. The funds (if granted) will be used for more crops, more hives, more bees and tools and equipment to further prepare the land for the bees to thrive. We also need an electric fence to protect the hives from local predators and to begin gathering supplies for our first harvest in 3 months.

Business Plan
Offering bee removal services will help us grow our hives and help the local community. We plan to partner with local farmers, keeping bees on their property to help their crops and flowers. Attending local farmers markets, both to connect and sell. And a huge part of our vision is education. We will offer free education at schools and the local library as well as workshops on beekeeping, making products, self-sustainability, farming, and more. Our families share the same life goals of running self-sustaining farms and beekeeping while raising children with true grit, compassion and integrity. Over the past year we have worked together, harnessing each of our strengths to finally bring our dream to fruition. Our company is here to save the bees, serve the community and support local agriculture. Investing in us is a way for investors to ensure that their money is going to a great cause that will help the local community, agriculture and ecosystem. You will not only be supporting us and our families, but local farmers, local families, and opening the door to education and resources for the entire valley.

Self Identified Competition
When partnering with local farmers, serving the community and teaching our children self-sustainability and kindness in the process, there is no real competition. There are other local beekeepers in the community such as Verde Valley Honey and AZ Queen Bee, but we see them more as colleagues and fellow humanitarians. Our mission is to serve our community, providing healthy, local, raw honey, bee products and education relating to harnessing our natural resources. We value family, community and agriculture. Our goal is to save the bees while giving back to the community and local ecosystem. We are not just here to sell a product. What we are doing is so much more than that. Our methods in providing farm to table products are natural, sustainable, and help support local agriculture. We know bees are a necessary species. Join us in our passion to educate, serve, and save the bees!
