A Better You Now 4535328 | Government Grant Application

A Better You Now | Application Preview

A Better You Now is seeking government grants to support initiatives focused on housing, health-related activities, and transportation for women affected by violence and substance abuse, a growing concern in the area. The business aims to connect these women with critical resources, such as community networks, local hospitals, correctional facilities, and outpatient programs, emphasizing the need for rehabilitation and safety.

Research highlights that 74% of women struggle with substance addiction, with various underlying issues related to hormones, mental health, and abusive relationships. Currently, there is a significant lack of resources, safe homes, and supportive programs available to this demographic, leading to a cycle of addiction, incarceration, and further victimization.

A Better You Now distinguishes itself through its founder's 14 years of nursing experience and a deep commitment to compassionate care. The business is dedicated to improving the lives of its clients and aims to empower them to achieve better quality of life outcomes. Funding approval would enable the organization to expand its services and address the urgent needs of this vulnerable population.

Our business is reaching out to women who need support from violence and substance abuse. Unfortunately, this is a growing population in our region. Our businesss growth strategy includes networking within the community, local hospitals, correctional institutions, outpatient facilities, providing connection to a resource where treatment and support is rendered. As a medical professional it is necessary to provide support to individuals that are going through rehabilitation and seeking assistance for safety. Research shows that 74% of women have a substance addiction. According to he National Institute on Drug Abuse, women who use drugs may have issues related to hormones, pregancy, menstrual cycle and/or menopause as well as using drugs to control weight, fighting exhaustion, coping methods and an attempt to self treat from mental health issues or issues related to physical abuse from a spouse or partner.

  • Self Identified Competition

This is the main issue, there is not enough resources, programs, safe homes, group homes for this population to go to, which is why they end up back on their drug of choice, cycle through the correction system, in a toxic environment/relationship or worst case scenario dead. I have been a nurse for 14 years and am truly compassionate to care for others especially those in need. I care about my clients, I have a genuine compassion for the next person and I want to assist all to live better and have a better quality of life.
