JT Designs | Application Preview
JT Designs is seeking government grants to fund the purchase of new equipment aimed at expanding its product offerings and customer base. The business plans to diversify by adding UV printing and embroidery services to its current direct-to-film options. This expansion is designed to retain existing customers while attracting new ones, capitalizing on a growing demand for embroidered products.
Over the next five years, the business intends to establish itself as a leader in the custom apparel market, addressing a significant local demand. The owner believes that the approval of funding is crucial for acquiring the equipment needed to achieve these goals.
In terms of competition, JT Designs faces one main competitor who has both direct-to-film and UV printing capabilities. Despite this competition, the owner prides themselves on a strong relationship with their competitor, ensuring mutual respect for client bases. JT Designs distinguishes itself through active engagement with local schools and focus on sports-themed apparel, while also seeking to expand beyond this niche to attract a broader range of customers.

Funding Usage
Currently I am looking to expand my business by purchasing new equipment. Thus allowing me to create new types of products and expand my customer base.

Business Plan
In the next 5 years I plan to grow my business by providing several ways customers can create custom apperal. Currently I only provide direct to film options. I would to add uv printing and embroidery. My current competitors have both direct to film and uv printing already. I hope to be able to retain my current customers while expanding to new ones with the addition of embroidery products. There seems to be a big demand for that. I feel that with my business plan, I can be very successful in my area. There is a large demand for custom apperal and I would like to corner the market. This will not be possible if I cannot purchase new and necessary equipment.

Self Identified Competition
I have one main competitor in the area. She currently has a store front with direct to film and uv printing options available to her customers. She and I have a mutual respect and try not to step on each other's client base. My business is different from my competition in that I have been more invested and involved with our local schools and creating sports themed apperal, while the competition does other types of designs. I am wanting to expand outside of the sports field and create additional customers.
