Isaac Physical Therapy | Application Preview
Isaac Physical Therapy is seeking government grants to build a new facility that will house a gym, physical therapy office, and rental space. This complex aims to create a clean and safe environment for the public to enhance their physical fitness while also increasing the business's exposure and attracting new gym members who may also need physical therapy services. The rental space will help cover operational costs in the future.
The clinic focuses on specialized areas such as orthopedics, neurology, lymphedema, women's health, and vestibular rehabilitation, offering unique techniques that are not widely available at local clinics. The business plans to enhance its market presence through collaborative marketing with local fitness and healthcare providers, community outreach, and sponsorship of youth sports. They also emphasize continued employee education to keep up with new treatment methods.
The application highlights the owners' dedication as a small family business, their resilience during the pandemic, and their commitment to becoming an integral part of the community. Although competition exists from larger physical therapy clinics with stronger marketing resources, Isaac Physical Therapy prides itself on delivering personalized care that leads to superior patient outcomes.
Their competitive advantage lies in their qualifications as Doctors of Physical Therapy, their one-on-one treatment approach, and the unique combination of gym facilities with physical therapy services. This distinctive setup would allow for seamless integration between fitness and rehabilitation, catering to a broader range of patient needs, including providing home-based outpatient services for those with mobility challenges.

Funding Usage
We would like to build a complex with a gym, physical therapy office and rental space to establish and grow our business. This facility would provide the public with a clean, safe area to increase their physical fitness. This would provide us with a facility to conduct business and giving us more exposure through the gym as well as gaining new gym members who come to us for Physical Therapy. We will be open to the public for a nominal fee. Rental space would be utilized to help cover expenses, salaries and maintenance in the future. We provide a niche in the Physical Therapy industry in the treatment of orthopedics, Neuro, Lymphedema, Women's Health, and Vestibular Rehabilitation. We perform techniques that are lacking in other local Physical Therapy clinics.

Business Plan
Increased marketing with local fitness and healthcare businesses. Increased advertising, sponsorship of local youth sports, community outreach, pro bono work. With the completion of a new facility we would have access to an ever expanding market through the gym. We also plan to continue to invest in education for our employees in new and expanding techniques to advance our ability to help patients. We are a hard working family business. As a Naval Academy graduate I have worked hard in all facets of my life. The pandemic made it hard to continue to run a business and a family. My husband and I will work hard to make our business a large part of our community and bring together many separate entities to work as one for the betterment and healing of our patients and neighbors.

Self Identified Competition
Our competitors are other Physical Therapy clinics. Those clinics are bigger and have more marketing ability, but they do not have the patient outcomes that we do. We are providing more comprehensive and personalized care, leading to faster and better recovery. We just do not have the funding to grow our business along with the demand. We are both Doctors of Physical Therapy with advanced certifications that are lacking and/or under represented in our area. We also utilize a one on one approach instead of a group therapy environment. We use Doctors of Physical Therapy only to assure a high quality of care and ensure the best outcomes. This would also be the only Doctor of Physical Therapy owned gym with a physical therapy focus. This would allow the business to have 2 facets that would increase growth into each other. It would provide gym memberships with direct access to physical therapy and bridge physical therapy to physical fitness. We also provide outpatient services in the home for those that have difficulty leaving the home or negotiating the community.
