Jotia Group | Application Preview
Jotia Group is seeking government grants to fund salaries and commissions for employees responsible for generating revenue for their first trade show, The Green Label Expo, scheduled for September 2023. The company's strategy involves launching in-house events and managing projects for corporate clients globally, guided by ongoing market research and industry trends.
In 2023, they plan to host one major event, with a similar event, The Small Business Expo, anticipated for 2024. If The Green Label Expo maintains its size, Jotia Group expects a revenue growth of over 100% in its second year. For 2025, they project The Small Business Expo will double in size while The Green Label Expo will remain stable, leading to another potential 100% revenue increase. From 2026 to 2027, they aim to enhance their reputation and community engagement, forecasting a growth of up to 50% or attracting potential buyers within the industry.
Additionally, Jotia Group offers event management services for third parties, which could provide significant revenue, though this is not included in their immediate financial forecasts due to the uncertainties involved.
The leadership team comprises John Richard (JR) and Laura Lawrance, both with over five years of event management experience. They have successfully launched revenue-generating events across North America, bringing expertise in sales management, marketing, and communication. Their background includes overcoming challenges during the pandemic and a strong network of industry contacts.
Key competitors include Emerald Events, Informa Events, and Fortem International. However, Jotia Group sets itself apart through the founders' unique insights and familiarity with the American event market, leveraging their direct experience to navigate competitive pressures.
In summary, funding is sought to support initial event efforts, backed by the founders' substantial expertise, a clear growth trajectory, and an opportunity for investors to partner with a motivated and knowledgeable team.

Business Plan
Jotia Group will continue to launch events in-house as well as taking on projects to deliver launch events for corporate companies worldwide. The events launched and projects taken on will be determined by market needs and industry evolution requiring continuous research & development. This year (2023) 1 event is planned to run in September- The Green Label Expo. Next year (2024) an additional event of a similar size will be launched, pending further research this will be The Small Business Expo. Presuming The Green Label Expo maintains a similar size in 2024 as 2023 it is predicted therefore Jotia Group revenue will be +100% in year 2. In 2025 The Small Business Expo is predicted to double in size, The Green Label Expo to remain the same size as 2024 and an additional event will also be launched. It is therefore predicted that revenue YOY for 2025 will also be +100%. For the years of 2026 and 2027 Jotia Group would look to grow the reputation and community of all events in the portfolio. This would either result in a +50% in growth or potentially a buyer in the Industry being interested. In addition to the events planned to launch, Jotia Group also has the capability to act as an agency for 3rd parties looking to outsource an event project. With the connections and a pending contract for this service it is likely this will generate significant revenue over the 3 years. However since this is uncertain (given Jotia Group would have to bid and win these contracts) this revenue stream is not currently factored into the financial forecast at all. The leadership team at Jotia Group are John Richard (JR) and Laura Lawrance. Both have over 5 years of experience in event management, specifically launching and running trade shows and conferences. JR’s skill set specifically lies within sales management, leadership and finance, and Laura’s strengths lie in marketing, communication and business strategy. Previously both have launched events which have generated revenue from $1m-$5m in locations all across North America in many different industries. Both have recruited, trained and led teams of employees in their respective departments and successfully contributed to the global growth of all events they have managed. Having lived and worked in Las Vegas for 5 years, both Laura and JR successfully navigated the events and teams they managed through the challenges of the global pandemic and have faced and overcome many other event related challenges over the years. Having managed events in Miami, New York, LA, Anaheim and Las Vegas both have experience launching and managing events across North America. In addition both have a large network of vendors, contractors, freelancers, business connections and potential employees. Jotia Group currently offers part-time, flexible contracts to select expert contractors but holds a large network of potential employees ready to work when projects require.

Self Identified Competition
1) Emerald Events. Established for decades and have 100's of events in their portfolio. They specialize in launching and running events in America. Their current focus is EmeraldX which focuses on building community and media to support live events they run 2) Informa Events. The largest event organizer in the world, worth $1.8bn. Previously acquired smaller event organizers such as UBM. Organize many world leading trade shows in many different industries 3) Fortem International, previously employers of Jotia Group founders Laura and JR who were both fundamental key players in the launch into the American market. Fortem is a small UK based event organizer who launched quickly and aggressively into USA, 5 years ago when Laura and JR first started to work for them The founders of Jotia Group, Laura and JR bring a unique experience and perspective, different to competitors. Although the event industry is very competitive with low barriers to entry, Laura and JR both understand exactly what is needed to launch an events industry in America in a short and challenging time period. The events planned for launch are all based within industry sectors and geographics they are already familiar with. Fortem International is the most direct competitor but Laura and JR are both aware of this businesses strengths and weaknesses very clearly, and this brings with it a unique opportunity for investors looking to back a fast paced, ambitious, experienced small business
