Bobcat Services LLC B111885 | Government Grant Application

Bobcat Services LLC | Application Preview

Bobcat Services LLC is seeking government grants to acquire a used single axle dump truck and upgrade its trailer for better efficiency with a skid steer and attachments. The funding will also help cover maintenance and insurance costs, which can be quite high. In the future, the owner plans to expand the business by purchasing a mini excavator and exploring new avenues like trucking and forestry. The strategy focuses on gradual growth, ensuring that each piece of equipment is paid off before acquiring the next.

The owner brings 25 years of experience working for others, emphasizing a commitment to professionalism and safety with a customer-first approach. The goal is not only to support their family but also to create a sustainable business for future generations.

Competition in the area includes established, larger excavating companies that typically handle bigger projects. Bobcat Services LLC aims to fill a niche by targeting smaller jobs that are often overlooked by these larger firms. The owner believes in focusing on their strengths without disparaging competitors, highlighting a commitment to quality work and customer service.

  • Funding Usage

I plan to use the funding to buy a used single axle dump truck and update my trailer to better handle my skidsteer and attachments. In the future I plan to purchase a mini excavator to diversify my business. General upkeep on equipment and insurance is expensive and that funding would go a long ways towards those costs.

  • Business Plan

My plan is to grow slowly and not overextend. I want to pay off one piece of equipment before purchasing another. As I grow the business i would like to diversify more including trucking and forestry. As the business grows i would also like to have bigger equipment to dig basements and foundations if the market calls for it. I believe there is niche market for small equipment in our area right now doing the jobs that the bigger companies won't do. Over the last 25 years working for other people i have developed the skills needed to get the job done in a professional and safe manor where the customer's needs come first. I work on people's sites as if it were my own property. I feel that is the best way to approach a job. This business is not only for me to help support my family now but also for my children in the future. It's time to use my skills and work ethic for my own business. Thank you for your consideration.

  • Self Identified Competition

The excavators in this area are well established and large in size. The type of work I want to do wouldn't be big enough for most of them to take on. It would take away from their larger more profitable jobs. There's no need to bad mouth any of my competitors or the work they do.
