Angel Clothing Foundation | Application Preview
The Angel Clothing Foundation is seeking government grants primarily to cover rent and overhead costs and to fund the hiring of regular paid employees for their free clothing boutique. Their goal is to provide reliable assistance to the homeless and those in need, without depending on volunteer availability. The funds would also be used to purchase essential items like new undergarments, duffle bags, and emergency clothing for families who may not find their sizes in donations. Additionally, they aim to distribute groceries in emergencies.
Their business plan focuses on sustainable growth in a location strategically positioned across from a food pantry, which will allow them to effectively serve the pantry's clientele with clothing, shoes, and bags. The business intends to maintain this location for at least two years and will promote its services through local media, networking with community organizations, and social media engagement.
The foundation argues for funding by emphasizing its status as a non-profit 501c3, dedicated to supporting marginalized groups such as the homeless, abused individuals, and low-income families. They provide immediate clothing assistance while fostering an uplifting environment to inspire transformation in their clients’ lives. Laura Dellutri, one of the owners, brings significant business experience and media expertise to the organization, further highlighting their commitment to making a meaningful impact.
In terms of competition, Angel Clothing Foundation asserts that they operate with no direct competitors in their area, distinguishing themselves as a unique “free clothing boutique” that offers a personalized shopping experience. They focus not only on providing clothing but also on engaging with clients through personal shopping assistance, dressing rooms, refreshments, and access to additional resources, all aimed at helping individuals feel valued and motivated to change their circumstances.

Funding Usage
Rent and overhead expenses, first and foremost. We would like to have regular paid employees at our free clothing boutique. We cannot rely on volunteers to commit to regular hours. We would like to have funds to buy new undergarments for the homeless and needy, Rolling duffle bags, camel backs and backpacks. We get donations, but not always in the sizes needed. We would use the funds for emergency new clothing if families we serve find that the boutique does not have their sizes. We would also like to give groceries to families in emergency situations.

Business Plan
Our primary goal is to manage and control the growth of this business. We are located across the parking lot from a food pantry and will service their people with clothing, shoes, and backpacks or duffle bags. We want to stay in this location for at least two years. Our marketing plan consists of earned media publicity on local news stations. Networking with business, churches, community service agencies at events. This includes Social media placements. This will ensure people in Kansas know where to find us. 1. We are a non-profit 501c3 business serving the homeless, abused, single moms and families living paycheck to paycheck. They need help. 2. We are not only providing on-demand & emergency clothing (no questions asked) to the poor, we are encouraging and inspiring them to reimagine themselves the minute they walk in the door. 3. One of the owners Laura Dellutri, is a former business owner of 3 businesses in the last 25 years. She has been a lifestyle expert, influencer and spokesperson for Fortune 500 companies. She is business and media savvy and is committed to making a difference in the lives of those that are struggling in life.

Self Identified Competition
We have no competitors. There are no actual “Free Clothing Boutiques” that serve the poor in our area on-demand. We don’t resell anything, it’s not like a Salvation Army or Savers. It’s a free special shopping experience. We talk to the people who walk through the door, we do more than just clothe them. We have a personal shopper help them. We have dressing rooms to try on clothing. We offer drinks, food, and local resources for food, shelter and more. We try to get their “story” and help them feel special and cared about. We want to help them reimagine their lives and encourage them to change it if need be.
