Funding Usage
Funds towards my business will help me delegate my priorities, diversify my portfolio and expand to further protect my business against economic woes. This would allow me to create digital products such as tattooing courses and refine digital offerings. Expand into a private studio with walk-in hours for high traffic, accessibility, inclusion, and a higher quality experience for the client. Hire management for smooth operating and marketing procedures as well as other artists to reach a larger audience. Offer workshops for artists that strive for high quality tattoos. Invest in higher education such as micro blading courses, and stay up to date with Industry Trends. Travel to national and local events such as tattoo expos to network, shadow other artists, and showcase my business. Create events for artists and consumers to showcase art and build clientele.

Business Plan
My growth plan revolves around prioritizing exceptional customer service and quality work promoting body positivity and through a “come as you are” approach. Expand your online presence by refining my company website, business instagram, and creating digital products and services (online scheduling, digital courses, digital design purchases etc.) Implement an efficient booking and scheduling system to streamline operations and maximize appointment availability. Offer promotions to attract new customers and incentivize repeat business, discounts that include a flat daily rate versus hourly rate for designs and areas wishing to work and promote. Offer gift cards or vouchers for purchase to incentivize new and existing customers to try my services. Implement a customer loyalty program using a point system to reward repeat customers and encourage referrals. Stay up to date with industry trends and techniques through ongoing education and training. Expanding my services to include Cosmetic tattooing/ permanent makeup, micro pigmentation, or other types of body modifications. Collaborate with other tattoo shops by guest spotting around Charlotte. Collaborate with local creatives by guest spotting such as at clothing stores. Attend tattoo conventions and events across the country and world to network, shadow, and showcase my work. Participate in community events and fundraisers to increase brand awareness and show support for local causes. Open a private studio with walk-in hours to accommodate more clients. Hire and train additional artists to increase my capacity once at private studio and reach a wider audience. Continuously seek feedback from customers and make adjustments based on their suggestions and needs. Encourage Google reviews as social proof to attract new clients and build trust. Offer specialized services such as custom designs, “come as you are” approach to cover-ups, group sessions, freehand sessions, broad spectrum of tattoo design capabilities from realism to lettering on happy clients with a wide range of backgrounds which differentiates my business from competitors. Develop a strong brand identity by creating a unique logo and consistent visual aesthetic across all marketing materials (simple but signature La Creative Chicano logo design) Consider offering apprenticeships to train new artists and maintain a high standard of quality. Host events and workshops to showcase myself and other artists' skills and engage with clients in a creative environment. Alone, I have been able to grow my company into a reliable stream of income in less than 3 years with hard work, patience, and dedication. A boost in funding would increase the potential growth based on the existing product of past growth efforts. My financial goals to exceed a multi-6-figure business are unwavering. My personal achievements in becoming a self-managing, self-leading, and self-correcting person have positioned me in a way that allows me to sustain success and growth in my business. Additional boost in funding even in the short term, can exponentially help protect my business from the economic woes through a diverse service portfolio and a wide set of tools and strategies and experts that allow for smooth operations.

Self Identified Competition
Large walk-in shops such as Canvas Tattoo, Charlotte Tattoo, and Black Cloud. Private studios such as Made to last Tattoo Unfortunately there aren’t many women of color-operated tattoo shops in Charlotte. The current environment of tattoo shops is highly segregated amongst class race and gender. The shops mentioned above are some of the higher end and higher quality shops in Charlotte. They are a great reflection of fine art you can find in Charlotte. My tattoo business maintains the high quality and unique expertise from an unlikely Mexican-American/Chicana woman, while creating an inclusive, approachable, and accessible environment for all adults.
