  • Funding Usage

This grant money would be used to upgrade equipment that needs it. We have had to purchase a vent hood due to a change in the fire code in our town, although we were previously told we did not need one. Our business has grown and we are working hard to ensure that it will continue to grow, but we need new equipment to handle the growth. We are a woman owned and operated company and could really use some help. Thank you!

  • Business Plan

We hope to open a coffee/smoothie truck within the next five years as well as purchase the building we currently rent in Torrington, CT. If we get to purchase that building we would like to add a second story and offer roof top dining or drinks. We have had much interest in Franchising our business, as it has been so successful since we opened our doors. I am a woman who is a true survivor. When my husband Jim Harding died suddenly, my only thought was how can I survive and make it through. That has been my mantra. I enjoy working seven days a week, employing like minded individuals who become like family, and being an active member of my community. I am an elected official because I feel it is the right thing to do, by giving of myself to my community who supported me.

  • Self Identified Competition

There is a Dunkin Donuts in very next plaza, but it is NOT locally owned and operated. There is a bakery up the street and two other coffee houses in our town. None of which come close to doing the volume of business that I do. I believe we are different because we absolutely love what we do and it comes through in our food or drink. Our customer service is like no other around. I don't come from the restaurant industry, I come from a coaching background, so we act as a team. We work together and it shows.
