Amerasian Food Plus 87-1107764 | Government Grant Application

Amerasian Food Plus | Application Preview

Amerasian Food Plus is seeking government grants to support the replacement of their outdoor sign, for which they have already obtained a contractor estimate. The business aims to diversify its product offerings beyond their current sourcing in Minnesota, in response to the growing local population. By accessing a wider range of Asian products commonly found in larger cities, they hope to better serve the community.

The application emphasizes that investing in Amerasian Food Plus benefits the community, as they plan to expand their services and establish a second location, enhance their kitchen facilities, and create a lounge area among other developments.

In terms of competition, they face challenges from larger retailers like Woodman's and Walmart. However, the family-run nature of the business, now in its 14th year under the current ownership, provides a unique competitive advantage. The applicants bring a fresh perspective and innovative ideas to the business. Plans include introducing more Korean and Japanese products, expanding kitchen rental opportunities for the local community, and adding a rolled ice cream shop to attract more customers.

  • Funding Usage

We will use this to cover our replacement with a new sign outside of our business. We have already gotten an estimate from the contractor as well.

  • Business Plan

We want to bring more of a variety of products into our business. We have always gone just to Minnesota to get our products. With the growing population in our area, we want to be able to get more Asian products that are in a bigger city here. When you invest in us, we put that investment to our business for the community. We want to be able to provide to the community even more including with what we have right now. We want to be able to open a second location, add an additional kitchen, have a lounge area, and much more.

  • Self Identified Competition

Woodman's and Wal Mart My parents has been running this business for over 14 years. My husband and I have seen my parents work. We inherited this business to be able to continue on their work and provide more than what they left us with. We are different because we have a drive to bring in fresh new ideas to our area that has not yet been done. An example is to bring in more Korean and Japanese products. We also want to add another kitchen to rent out to a lot of our community members that need to rent the kitchen. We would also like to add in a rolled ice cream shop.
