Emmy’s Place | Application Preview
Emmy's Place is seeking government grants to establish a retail space featuring a clean kitchen to support daily sales. The funding will be used for storefront acquisition, equipment purchases, and obtaining necessary permits and licenses to operate safely.
The business plan includes expanding the menu, launching lunch options with deli-style sandwiches made from in-house bread, creating a small retail section for boutique items and kitchen utensils, and offering baking classes along with DIY kits.
Emmy's Place aims to stand out by offering unique baked goods not available in Oklahoma, specifically Kringles and smoked pies, which fill a gap in the market. The competition includes local businesses like Merritts Bakery, Reasors, and Handmade by Amber, but Emmy's Place focuses on a unique baking style rooted in true European pastries, which are not readily found in the area. The owner, originally from Denmark, is eager to share her expertise and passion for baking with the local community.

Business Plan
Continue to add items to the menu, open for lunch and add deli style sandwiches from bread made in the kitchen, open a small retail area, sell boutique items, kitchen utensils, offer baking classes, and diy kits. I am offering a one of a kind baked good to the people of Oklahoma, I drive hundreds of miles for a Kringle, there is no where in Oklahoma to buy one. Smoked pies are not something I have ever seen or heard anyone make, I do. I have found a niche in a market that seems saturated, something everyone wants but nobody makes.
-
Self Identified Competition
Merritts Bakery, Reasors, Handmade by Amber I have a niche baking style that No one in Tulsa, Broken Arrow or Oklahoma offer. It is not found close by. True European pastries are not made anywhere close. I come from Denmark, became a IS citizen and want to share my love and knowledge of baked pastries to the people.
