Pony creek farm and rentals | Application Preview
Pony Creek Farm and Rentals is applying for government grants to transform an existing barn into a wedding venue. The business has successfully developed two Airbnb rentals on the property and operates a historic house for guests. The owner, a disabled veteran with extensive experience in running a bed and breakfast for six years and two decades of government service, aims to elevate the business to the next level. The funding will support this expansion.
The area has competition from Fine Creek Brewery, located just two miles away. However, Pony Creek Farm has a unique advantage as a horse and farm animal sanctuary, featuring an old mill on the grounds and the potential for additional expansion. The integration of a wedding venue alongside existing accommodations is envisioned to attract more visitors and enhance profitability.

Business Plan
We have built two Airbnb rentals onto property and have a historic house. We plan to convert it into a fully operational wedding venue. I’m a disabled veteran that has turned two existing buildings into profitable vacation rentals and would like to go to the next level. I also have had a bed and breakfast for 6 years and worked for the government/military for 20. I have a veterans benefit and opm pension.

Self Identified Competition
Fine Creek brewery is 2 miles down the road. We are a horse and farm animal sanctuary and have an old mill on the property. We have additional buildings that can expand the rental business but would like to include a wedding venue.
