Maroon Moon LLC Maroon Moon LLC | Government Grant Application

Maroon Moon LLC | Application Preview

Maroon Moon LLC is seeking government grants to support its mission of assisting transitioning and homeless veterans. The funding will be dedicated to marketing and establishing a facility that will serve as a central hub for research, planning, and executing programs aimed at helping veterans reintegrate into civilian life. Recognizing that many veterans leave military service without adequate support or resources, Maroon Moon plans to offer housing, food assistance, and career development for those struggling to secure their future.

By 2028, the organization aims to accommodate 200 to 500 veterans quarterly, providing comprehensive services that include financial and career planning, as well as rehabilitation for those who have already transitioned but are facing challenges. The program will work closely with government and community resources to effectively prepare veterans for job interviews and help them navigate their VA benefits, ultimately leading them to sustainable employment and housing.

The need for such support is critical, as many veterans encounter significant hurdles—financial, emotional, and mental—during their transition to civilian life. Unlike existing programs that often provide temporary housing without personalized support, Maroon Moon emphasizes a structured approach to equip veterans with the tools necessary for long-term success. They aim to release individuals with clear pathways to their future, ensuring they are better prepared to thrive post-service.

Maroon Moon positions itself uniquely in this space, as current service members committed to supporting their fellow veterans, and they are eager to collaborate with other veteran assistance organizations rather than compete with them.

  • Funding Usage

If awarded the funding, we will utilize the award to fund our marketing and research for a facility to house our daily operations. This will allow for a central location to research, analyze, plan, and execute building on our transitional housing. Our goal is to provide facilities for transitioning and homeless veterans to get on their feet following military service. Many veterans exit the service without a plan, home, food, or any idea of where they are going to end the day. We are working to provide housing, food, and career assistance for those who are not fortunate enough to end their military service with a job or home. Our transitions program and facilities will aid in preparing these veterans to sustain a healthy and successful life after service.

  • Business Plan

By 2028 we plan to have a central location that houses around 200-500 transition veterans per quarter. We plan to provide financial planning, career planning, exploration, and development. Food assistance and housing. We plan to have a rehabilitation program for veterans who have already transitioned but have not had much success. We plan to have support from government and community programs to teach and prepare these veterans for job interviews, teach them how to apply for and utilize their VA benefits properly, and successfully attain housing and employment. As we all know, many veterans who complete their military service have a rough time transitioning back into the civilian world. This may be due to finical, emotional, and mental hardships. It is also largely due to a lack of support from Veterans Affairs and their families. Our transitions program and facilities will aid in preparing these veterans to sustain a healthy and prosperous life after service. As a service member, I see first-hand service members who transition out of the military with no idea of what to do next. Most programs house these members for as long as they can receive assistance and boot them out. Our program has a set number of days to train these veterans and have them prepared to walk out of the program with a home, job, or post-secondary institution of their choice. We will release veterans with a path to their future.

  • Self Identified Competition

We have no competitors; we want to work in conjunction with other veteran assistance programs. We are different because we are current servicemembers that want to help these veteran brothers and sisters remain in a position to provide for themselves and their families.
