Scratch by Sarah | Application Preview

Sarah is applying for a government grant to transition her business from cottage status to a standalone storefront. She plans to purchase property and create a facility that will not only house her business but also offer space for parties and private events. By moving into this commercial space, she aims to hire 3 to 5 employees, enhancing her operational capacity.

The funding will support her goal of making her exceptional product and service more accessible to the community. Sarah highlights her entrepreneurial journey, emphasizing her resilience and commitment to her business despite personal challenges. This grant would enable her to expand and fully realize her vision.

In terms of competition, Sarah faces established commercial bakeries, grocery store bakeries, and other bakers with greater financial resources. However, her competitive edge lies in her commitment to transparency and ethical practices, which she believes set her apart. Her focus on quality and community service strengthens her position in the market, making a compelling case for funding support.

  • Business Plan

Moving to our own store front and hiring 3-5 employees. Moving out of cottage status to commercial with a rentable space inside of our facility for parties and private events. I offer an amazing product and service to our community, and need help making it more readily available. I have built this business from nothing, and I’m just getting started. I have always been an entrepreneurial spirit who has sacrificed so very much to get to where I stand today. I’ve overcome incredible loss, started over with nothing but the clothes on my back, and I am ready to take my next leap.

Commercial bakeries Grocery store bakeries Other bakers who have more funding and deeper pockets than myself As cliche as it may sound, we run an honest and up front business. Our product is superior, our business policies are fair and transparent, and our work and moral ethics supersede so much of what I see in my industry these days.
