ACM Diesel LLC 20201781715 | Government Grant Application

ACM Diesel LLC | Application Preview

ACM Diesel LLC is applying for government grants to tackle rising debt and invest in infrastructure necessary for growth. Despite being successful, the company faces cash flow challenges driven by high input costs and reliance on credit. The funding would help alleviate these debts and support the expansion of their service capabilities to meet the demands of an expanding client base.

The business's plan includes increasing service efficiency over the next five years by expanding facilities and providing better employee incentives. Currently, ACM Diesel struggles with availability compared to corporate competitors, but aims to enhance customer service and timely repairs, which are vital for their growth. Their reputation for accurate diagnostics and personalized service is a competitive strength in a region where many clients face economic hardships and cannot afford corporate dealer prices.

Competitors include 4 Rivers Equipment, Wagner Cat, and MHC Kenworth, each specializing in specific brands or types of equipment. ACM Diesel differentiates itself through its broad expertise in diverse diesel and heavy equipment repair, flexibility in service offerings, and ability to use cost-effective aftermarket parts. This approach allows the company to deliver significant savings to clients while maintaining high-quality repair services. Overall, ACM Diesel's funding request is justified by its commitment to serving an underserved market with cost-effective solutions.

  • Funding Usage

Funding will be used to reduce our increasing debt, and invest in infrastructure allowing us to grow and move forward. We are successful in our endeavors however cash flow isn’t always great due to our debts and high input costs. We operate out of a credit line and credit cards so we constantly battle the interest associated with this.

  • Business Plan

As our client network is ever expanding our ability to properly care for and service them dwindles. A major push for our company in the next 5 years is expanding our service capabilities. I believe if we supply top notch service to our customers in a timely manner our business will grow exponentially. With our increased presence in the public our shop business will also increase. The field is typically specified troubleshooting/repair our shop is typically more in depth repairs/rebuilds. We have currently outgrown our shop facilities and also have surpassed the minimum amount of technicians for our workload. Going forward I would like to expand our facilities as well as employee incentives to join our team. We have a great reputation for accurate diagnosis and one on one care for our customers. However our shortfall is availability, this is where we are edged out by our corporate competitors. My goal in the next five years is to provide more timely services, invest in latest tooling and technologies and lastly provide employees with better incentives. With increased production our inputs will also raise, however I believe we can tip the scales in our favor by getting to our customers in a more timely manner. I believe that our business is crucial to our area offering a more cost effective alternative to corporate dealer price gouging. We live in an area that has a high poverty level. Many of our clients simply cannot afford repairs by a corporate dealer. We take pride in customer service and provide fair and honest repair work. We do not look at our invoices as black and white, although this affects our bottom line we have situational awareness which our customers appreciate.

  • Self Identified Competition

4 Rivers Equipment- John Deere based dealer repairing ag and construction equipment. Wagner Cat- Diesel engine repair/rebuild. Heavy equipment repair MHC Kenworth- Over the road truck repair, diesel engine rebuild Our competitors are typically only oriented towards one brand or type of equipment. Our technicians have a very wide array of experience in many facets of diesel and heavy equipment repair. This makes us a formidable competitor due to our flexibility. We can work anything from underground mining equipment to a municipality’s back up power generator. We only draw the line when it comes to light duty diesel repair. We also provide welding and machining services geared toward heavy applications. We also the have the freedom of using aftermarket parts to repair equipment instead of being bound to dealer only parts. This can save our customers 50-60% on parts cost alone, it offers a huge advantage.
