Cafe-oca 87-1315144 | Government Grant Application

Cafe-oca | Application Preview

Cafe-oca is applying for government grants to fund the establishment of a storefront, cover employee salaries, and manage product expenses. The funding would also support additional loans and provide savings for future needs, ensuring a solid foundation for the business.

The business plan emphasizes the need for financial support to officially launch operations. The owner envisions hiring staff and starting sales soon after securing funding, with aspirations to expand to additional stores within five years. The ultimate goal is to franchise the business concept, empowering others to pursue small business ownership.

The application highlights the owner's determination and resilience. They view challenges as opportunities for growth and commit to perseverance, regardless of the hurdles that may arise. Personal motivation is driven by a desire to prove their capabilities and to set a positive example for their family, especially for their son.

While facing competition from both local bubble tea shops and self-doubt, the owner sees their main competitor as themselves. They believe their determination and ability to identify untapped market opportunities will give them an edge in the business landscape. The plan suggests that a commitment to continuous improvement and ambition will help differentiate Cafe-oca from other competitors in the market.

  • Business Plan

I have a business on paper, but funding is the biggest issue. Without the money, I cannot open doors officially. Once I am able to do so, I can begin hiring additional employees and selling products. I of course would like to open additional stores in the future once I have success with the first store. In 5 years, I hope to have at least 2 store if that is possible, both generating revenue in the future. My ultimate dream, is to be able to franchise my idea and help others become small business owners in the future. I feel that nothing is impossible for me. I have always been able to succeed in most anything I attempt in my life. I feel that something might take me longer than others, but I always succeed at my goals at the end. I have a high tolerance for pain and always look at the work "No" as a maybe. I am resourceful and am willing to do what it takes to find the answers I am looking for. I don't look at my lack of as a deficiency, but just as another challenge or obstacle I need to overcome. I believe in myself and my ideas, and even if it takes me 20 years to achieve my goal, I will find a way if it means deeply enough to me. At the end of the day, I want to try for both myself and my family. I want to try for myself to prove to myself that I am who I say I am and can do the things I believe I can do. For my family, specially for my son, I want to make him proud of me and show him what is possible in life. Regardless of the results, I will keep trying at this.

  • Self Identified Competition

My biggest competitor is myself. Overcoming my fear of failure and rejection is something I have to deal with everyday and managing myself belief is critical to my success. My second competitor is local bubble tea shops in my area. One is already established, and an additional shop is currently being built. They are relatively close to one another which I see as my advantage; since the area I want to open my store is across town and away from them, I feel there is still a large part of our market being under served. My third competitor are other people telling me I can't do what it is I imagine for myself and my family. Sometimes, unfortunately it is your family and friends who say you can't or it is too hard. That again comes back to just managing myself and seeing this through. I wouldn't say I am not any different or anymore special compared to my competitors. I feel that we all have the want and desire for our business and ourselves to succeed and be successful at this endeavor. I hope that what can set me apart is that I have the ability and the drive in the long run to out work them and out think them. That I can see opportunities they can't, and address markets and individuals they cannot or did not think of. If I can have a little bit bigger of a dream and expect a bit more from myself than they do. I think in the long run, this can set me apart from my competitors. Just never really being satisficed with where things are at.
