EYE OF MY NEEDLE LLC | Application Preview
EYE OF MY NEEDLE LLC is applying for government grants to support its operations and growth. The funding will be used for essential supplies such as fabric, zippers, and machine maintenance, as well as advertising, materials for in-person displays at various events, and associated fees.
The business plan focuses on increasing inventory to ensure products are readily available for buyers. The owner aims to establish a presence at local fairs and shows, as the quality of her handmade items cannot be fully appreciated through online platforms alone.
The rationale for funding approval highlights the challenges faced by the owner, a retired woman who has long aspired to run her own business. Despite using personal savings, sales have been low due to limited visibility and awareness of her products. The owner emphasizes the importance of supporting small businesses, which are foundational to the economy.
EYE OF MY NEEDLE LLC competes against mass-produced products from larger retailers like Amazon and Wal-Mart. However, its competitive edge lies in the handcrafted nature of its products, which are made from high-quality materials and feature unique designs that easily catch the eye of potential customers.

Business Plan
Gain more products that are ready to send out to buyers immediately. Obtain plenty of supplies to continuously get products ready to sell. Set up booths at local affairs to sell my products where my products can be seen in person. Quality of my products are exceptional and this cannot be seen via website, or social media. I am a struggling woman-owned small business working out of my home and retired from working outside of my home. I have dreamed about doing this for years and have been encouraged by my family and friends, from the items I can design and sew. And, custom-made items can be done if requested. So far I have used saved funds from working but have not sold much since I started, I believe because of lack of getting my name and product out to the people. Small business is the backbone of our culture and times and need to make sure it stays that way.

Self Identified Competition
Competitors are mass-produced, industrial-made items from big corporations such as Amazon, Wal-Mart, camping/hiking type businesses My products are all hand-made with superior products, not cheap materials, unique designs, and something that people will ask you, "Where did you buy that?"
