The Wellness Collective 92-0772385 | Government Grant Application

The Wellness Collective | Application Preview

The Wellness Collective is seeking government grant funding to support their buildout costs, supplies, and necessary equipment. The business aims to expand through community engagement and marketing, focusing on education and connection with local businesses. They plan to host community events and webinars while enhancing their social media presence. The emphasis is on building relationships and providing excellent care to foster patient referrals.

The application argues for funding approval by highlighting the Collective's mission to redefine perceptions of health care. They prioritize patient engagement, striving to ensure that individuals feel heard and understood, countering common frustrations with providers. The founder believes in a teaching approach to health, embodying the true meaning of the term "Doctor."

In terms of competition, the Collective faces three local chiropractic practices, each with unique specializations and five or more years of experience. However, the Wellness Collective distinguishes itself with a unique competitive edge as the only chiropractor of color in the area, alongside a specialty in pediatric and perinatal care. The founder brings over five years of experience under a seasoned mentor with nearly three decades of practice. The business stands out by offering tailored, individualized care and a holistic health network, positioning itself as a supportive healing space where patients not only recover but also learn to maintain their well-being.

  • Business Plan

I plan to grow my business with outside marketing and connections with local businesses. Being a community health advocate. We will provide educational community events and webinars to connect with the community more. Social media presence to connect with others more as well. I'm really big about being my community and connecting in person. Provide great care to my current patients which makes them want to refer their friends and family by word of mouth. They should invest in The Collective because we are changing the way people see health. Teaching and helping people be the healthiest version of their self. The number one reason people have an issue with their health care provider is because they don't feel heard. They also feel like they are being spoken at, and using a lot of jargon they don't understand. At the Collective our main goal is for people to feel seen and heard. We want people to feel like they are being taught instead of told. The word Doctor in Latin means "to teach"; and I love teaching people how they too can be healthy.

  • Self Identified Competition

Our top 3 competitors are chiropractors as well. They have different specialities within the chiropractic field. They have been in business for at least 5 years. What makes us different is, for one I am the only chiropractor of color in the area. I have a specialty in pediatric and perinatal chiropractic care. I have been practicing for over 5 years under a family/pediatric chiropractor who has been practicing for 28 years. What also separates us is the individualized care we provide that is catered to them. I don't want to just be their chiropractor I want to give them a collective of holistic health professionals that will help support them in their health journey. The Collective is a healing space where you not only get well, but learn how to stay well. Our bodies were made to heal, and we are here to help.
