    I will use the money on equipment and a truck which is the heart of the business. The truck cost 45k-65k, which needs to meet DOT requirements. Electronic logs installation required by DOT 2k-5k and also insurance down payment 6k-10k depending on endorsements. ( I currently hold all but one.) The rest of the grant will go towards any extra expenses that may come up (or not listed). So my business will be successful its first year and beyond.

    To continue to build relationships and contract with vendors/ companies. My goal is to expand fleet, hire brokers, dispatchers. Then at some point have a wear house to store trucks, trailer and equipment. I am a young black man (29) that already have the odds against me. I just happens to love driving trucks. I have been driving for 10 plus years and it is my time to turn my job into a career. I know the value of family and they give me the drive to provide. I always been determined to create generational wealth. Not just for my girls I have now but their kids and their kids. This grant will be a dream come true and a blessing to my family. I don’t plan to disappoint but to give others the drive to go after their dream, take that step and thrive. Please consider my application and this grant to start my business that I know will succeed.
