Sun Treasurz LLC | Application Preview
Sun Treasurz LLC is seeking government grant funding to enhance its operations and better serve local communities, particularly Native American trading posts. The funding will primarily be used to secure a five-year rental for a storefront, with monthly operational costs projected to be under $3,000. This storefront will significantly increase customer traffic and sales, allowing the company to acquire essential machinery and to invest in the necessary fixtures for a functional and appealing retail space.
Over the next five years, the company aims to secure enough revenue to purchase its own building and establish itself as a reputable, locally owned business. Currently, a lack of physical presence hampers growth. The identified vacant location has attracted interest, and the business plans to offer in-store pick-up for online orders, eliminating shipping costs for local customers.
To enhance operations, Sun Treasurz LLC plans to install a point-of-sale (POS) system for better inventory and financial tracking. The store will provide an opportunity for customers to experience products firsthand, fostering personal connections and expert guidance that online shopping cannot offer. Creative displays, community engagement, and personalized services are core strategies to build customer loyalty and encourage repeat business.
The proposal outlines that grant funding would empower the business to increase its revenue, stimulate local economic growth, and support a community-driven approach. The funding would also aid in investing in marketing efforts to elevate visibility and generate more sales.
Sun Treasurz LLC faces competition from three main local businesses in the moccasin industry. While they have established presence and competitive pricing, Sun Treasurz differentiates itself through unique branding, high-quality products, and exceptional customer service. By emphasizing community support, personalized touches, and discounts for Native Americans, the business aims to attract and retain a loyal customer base while simultaneously contributing to the local economy.

Funding Usage
Our main goal is to be able to provide more of what we have to offer, into the hands of those that need it most. We honor and serve many Native American Trading posts by providing them with a vital product necessary to their every day lives. First and Foremost, Funding would allow us to secure a 5 year rental of a Store Front. Monthly Operation costs would be LESS than $3000 per month which includes rent and utilities, insurance, as well as any upgrades to the rental space to make it presentable. Having a store front would direct more traffic to us, resulting in an increase in sales, and a big plus for exposure. It would allow us to get the $10,000 of machinery we desperately need. It would also allow us to purchase everything else needed to get a store front going, such as displays, flooring, lighting, and signage. All of this would help to build additional revenue, which would help us to build the stock that we need so that we can get more of what we have to those that need, and want it. How to you plan to grow in the next 5 years: *Before 5 years is up, we would love to have enough revenue to actually purchase our own building, and become known as a long standing locally owned business. *Our biggest hurdle is by not having a store front. In having a store front, that would open up our doors to direct even more traffic to those that seek what we have to offer. We intend on being the drive behind expansion, by doing what we know best in the manufacturing and sales of what we have to offer. What we have is in HUGE demand, and we want to get that out to more people. We have found a PRIME location, that has been vacant for a few years. For the past several months, the owner has been eager for us to take the spot! *We sell online, but to offer the option to pick up purchases in-store would be beneficial. No shipping costs for locals. Who wants to pay for shipping costs, when they can just get what they want locally. *Installing a POS system would allow us to track inventory, and enable better financial tracking. *Having a physical store would allow customers to actually see, touch, try on or test our products. *Revenue would be increased with being able to expand our inventory and have a better variety of products readily available for instant purchase. *In dealing face to face with customers, they will get needed expert guidance in making choices. *Constantly being creative with window and in-store displays and changing them frequently, will drive more traffic to the store. Moving merchandise to different parts of the store will expose shoppers to products they may not have noticed last time. *Alerting customers via email, social media or direct mail when we get new shipments or when seasonal products arrive, will also help drive customers to the store, and increase revenue. *Store front vs on line shopping: Some customers are uneasy about sharing their payment options on line. Having a store front would allow them to deal directly with us, and provide them a payment option they can be comfortable with. *Personalized services means repeat customers. Having a store front would open us up to repeat customers. We know most of our online customers now, but getting to know customers face to face would be a plus. Knowing what they are looking for and making their shopping experiences personable is great for customer service. Happy customers are sure to return. *Shopping on line can be overwhelming for customers. Relief can be found when walking into a store and visible seeing what that store has to offer. Shoppers will appreciate not having to make so many choices and knowing that someone they trust—US—has chosen the best for them. *People often shop as a way to socialize with family and friends or as entertainment. An environment of cheery décor, nice background music, and a sociable staff contribute to the pleasant shopping atmosphere, thus increasing the possibility of sales. *A store front and signage is a billboard! They would be advertising our business all the time. *“Great” customer service online is still pretty impersonal, but in person is even better. In store shoppers can get to know the owner and the salespeople. *Simple Returns. Keeping it convenient for customers to return products and never make them feel that they’re inconveniencing you is beneficial. It also increases the chances for more sales. In many cases, when a customer returns something, they also buy something else. *We would be able to hold events for your customers or get them to participate in a charitable event our store would sponsors. We would look for ways to help our customers get to know each other. *We would be an active part of the community. Our store would not be located up in the “cloud.”It would physical be out there in community, for all to see. *"Shop Local" Using our marketing we would encourage customers to patronize independent, local businesses like ours. We would continue to tell our story in our marketing and present ourselves as the “face” of our business.

Our business will be able to grow, as we'd be spending money, to make even more money. Money would allow our business to grow properly. We'd be able to manage investments to achieve the highest return so that we have the money necessary to develop. Investing in our business, not only increase our "wealth" but also supports the local economy. It is this revenue that allows us to continue to provide our finished product to customers, pays the bills, and to generates fund growth. We'd be able to invest in additional marketing and advertising which would generates more revenue for our business. The more successful our business grows, the more money we'll have, and we'll be able to better get our business out there to be even more successful.

Self Identified Competition
We have only three top local competitors. All three make moccasins, and only one of those also sells jewelry. #1 Has a Moccasin store front, and sells on line. They have many employees, and their prices are very competitive. They only sell wholesale to outside of Arizona. #2 Has a store front, and has a website. They have been in business for over 30 years, and have a presence in the community, mostly due to returning customers. They also and spending roughly $30,000 a year on advertising. #3 Is a local, on-line seller only. Their prices are competitive. *Our marketing helps us to stand out, be seen and have potential customers focus their attention on us. Our marketing focuses on us, NOT our competitors. *High-quality, but most importantly, consistent branding is what makes us stand out from our competition. We expect to produce a product that is nothing but the best. If we are not happy is what we are providing, it does not go to the customer. *We discount our products. Native Americans ALWAYS get BIG discounts! *Our branding is echoed throughout all social media and product pages. It doesn’t scream obnoxiously loud at the reader, but it stands out and is memorable. *Our packaging stands out. We don't just put an item in a box and ship it out. We carefully wrap each item, put it in a Thank You bag, and enclose a personal note. We extend ourselves to our customers that if something is not right with what they are receiving, we'll make it right. We even gift wrap. Additionally, we like to draw a smiley face on the outside of the shipping package. *We strive to provide the absolute best customer service. This is proving to be just one way that we are staying out from our competition. Excellent customer services brings repeat customers. *We differentiate our business by being unique and memorable, while presenting ourselves to potential customers who may value you. *We don’t need to bring attention to your competitors. Our customers and reviews do that for us.
