J&K AUTO GLASS | Application Preview
J&K Auto Glass is applying for government grants to fund business expansion, specifically to hire an additional employee, purchase a new van, and acquire necessary materials. Their plan includes hiring at least one auto glass technician in the coming year, with a goal of two within four years.
The founders, who have built a reputable name in the community, emphasize their commitment to customer service, as reflected in their positive online reviews. The business emerged from a desire to create a stable future after the owner left her job with the Sheriff's office in 2021, using her retirement savings to get started. With her husband Jeff's 25 years of experience and certification in auto glass, they are well-equipped for success.
They face competition from larger companies like Safelite and Novus, which have extensive resources for advertising and staffing. However, J&K Auto Glass believes their competitive edge lies in their personalized customer approach, where they treat clients like family and actively seek to resolve any issues. Their community involvement and strong relationships with local businesses further enhance their standing in the market.

Business Plan
We would like to hire at least 1 auto glass tech in the next year, possible 2 within the next 4. My husband and I have worked very hard to establish a good name for J&K Auto Glass. If you look up our google page and read the reviews, you will know we are all about our customers. A little back story! I worked for the Sheriff's office here in Pueblo for 8 years. The sheriff sent me out to patrol and my husband was worried for me. This was in 2021. In the first month of me being on patrol, he said to me he wanted to start our own business. We had been talking about it for several years, but I was always too scared. I took my retirement plan out and used it to get our business started and we just hit the ground running. We really do have a wonderful community that supports us, we just see a bigger picture and need the funds to grow the business. My husband Jeff has been an Auto glass technician for 25 years and has his certification through the Auto Glass Safety Council. We couldn't be more proud of how far we have come.

Self Identified Competition
Safelite and Novus primarily because they have the funds for commercials and have more employees and more vans, etc. As I mentioned earlier, I make sure I treat each and everyone of my customers like family. I listen to them and their concerns and we always make it right with our customers. We truly do go above and beyond. I reach out to every business owner I know to get our name out there. I have reached out to all of the Chamber of Commerce organizations to become a member. We are unique in the fact that we truly do try to make EVERY experience a great one. Sometimes mistakes do happen, but we always find a solution for our customers. Once again, please look at our Google reviews.
