Northwest Indiana Friendship House | Application Preview
Northwest Indiana Friendship House is seeking government grants to complete essential renovations at their facility. The funds will be used primarily for debris removal, establishing electricity in the gymnasium and first floor, and installing a gym floor, bathrooms, and paint in the gym.
As a nonprofit organization, they plan to offer the renovated space for lease once completed. Their financial strategy includes a subscription model similar to that of public radio, supported by a large base of sponsors. Additionally, they aim to develop a trust fund to ensure long-term sustainability, alongside ongoing fundraising efforts.
The organization emphasizes its mission to support underserved urban and rural communities in Northwest Indiana by providing services in early childhood development, youth and adult empowerment, and senior citizen assistance. While there are national groups like the Boy's Club and YWCA offering similar programs, Northwest Indiana Friendship House believes their localized approach and broader range of services will give them a competitive advantage in effectively meeting community needs.
