The Blazed Leaf | Application Preview
The Blazed Leaf is seeking government grants to cover startup costs, including licensing, securing a venue, setting up the dispensary, and obtaining products for customers. The plan is to establish the dispensary by 2025, with the goal of expanding to five locations within seven years across Northern Kentucky and nearby counties. The business aims to operate as a seed-to-sale model.
Funding approval is envisioned as a means to improve the quality of life for Kentuckians by providing access to medical cannabis, which the applicant believes can offer safe and effective relief from pain without the risk of overdose. The business aims to contribute positively to the community and rejuvenate local retail areas.
Currently, there are no known competitors in Kentucky, although new ones are expected to emerge by 2025. The Blazed Leaf highlights its competitive edge as a family-owned entity, emphasizing local ties and commitment to serving Kentuckians.

Business Plan
I would like to open The Blazed Leaf in 2025, with the idea of expanding the brand into multiple locations throughout NKY and into the other surrounding counties. I think 5 locations within 7 years would be solid growth for our business especially considering the demand. I would like to grow our company into a potential 3 phase business from seed to sale. I think that medical cannabis is going to lead the way when it comes to common accessible medicine that can be regularly found without having adverse health affects. Everyday Kentuckians need access to better quality of living and the options of relief from pain and suffering. This product has never killed a single person from use or even from the so called “over dose”. This is a business that will have the same opportunity to make an impact on our communities and revitalize our retail shopping areas.

Self Identified Competition
In the state of Ky we are not aware of any competitors yet. However there will be plenty of them come 2025. This is a family owned and operated medical dispensary for Kentuckians by Kentuckians.
