Poad’s Pizza LLC 85-3712576 | Government Grant Application

Poad’s Pizza LLC | Application Preview

Poad's Pizza LLC is seeking government grants to address its financial challenges, primarily to pay off outstanding tax debts totaling $13,000 and settle a few smaller debts, including a freezer purchase and a vendor payment, which amounts to $2,100. The company plans to enhance its advertising efforts, engage more with the local community, and expand its menu to include additional pizza toppings and options for those with food sensitivities or allergies.

Established in 1991 and currently family-owned, Poad's Pizza has faced significant challenges due to the recent economic downturn and the aftermath of the Covid pandemic. The business aims to stand out against larger competitors like Domino's and Pizza Hut by emphasizing its community ties and long-standing presence in the area of over 30 years. The funding would provide crucial support for keeping the business operational and ensuring its continued contribution to the local economy.

  • Funding Usage

We are currently behind on our bills and are close to having to close our doors. We would use the money to pay off our tax debt from 2021 (balance of $6,000), Sales Tax debt from 2023 (balance of $7,000), and use the remaining $2,000 to pay off the balance we owe on a freezer we purchased (balance of $1435) and a payment to our vendor Sysco in the amount of $665.

  • Business Plan

We plan to increase advertising through local church bulletins and being more actively involved in the community. We would like to increase our menu by providing more pizza topping options as well as more opportunities to those with food sensitivity and allergies. Our restaurant is a small-family owned business. It was opened in 1991 and passed down through family. We came into ownership of the restaurant just as the Covid pandemic was starting to subside. The recent turn in the economy has greatly impacted small businesses like ours and our families who are trying to live the American dream.

  • Self Identified Competition

Domino’s, Pizza Hut and Sal’s Pizza are our biggest competitors. We are a small family owned business, not a chain or franchise. We have been established in the community for 30+ years.
