Years two and three will see the hiring of senior personnel and settling into a new facility. Fortis plans to evaluate further growth needs, particularly regarding additional large-scale 3D printing and foam machinery, while ramping up nationwide marketing efforts. By years four and five, the goal is to repeat the growth strategies established in the previous years, with a specific focus on the Department of Defense, including setting up the required private servers to support operations in that sector. The initial five years are seen as foundational for optimizing business practices.
The application emphasizes the author's expertise as a Mechanical Design Engineer, highlighting previous experience in relevant fields and connections within the industry. They have provided professional consultations to DOD representatives while adhering to ITAR guidelines.
In terms of competition, the author identifies weaknesses in rivals such as Case Solutions, Bauer Cases, and Jawstech, pointing out their shortcomings in leadership, professionalism, and product quality.
Fortis Poly Plastics’ competitive edge stems from its strong engineering foundation, commitment to lean practices, and problem-solving approach, unlike competitors primarily begun by salespeople. The founder's qualifications, including a green belt in lean six sigma, position the company to improve efficiency and throughput effectively.

Business Plan
Year 1 : obtain machinery and tooling I need to produce in house. Set standard operating procedures in place and servers. Look at optimizing all processes including quoting and costing. Optimize website for engagement. Year 2-3: hire personnel to fill senior positions. Settle on lease options and move into facility. Examine continued growth needs such as large footprint 3D printers and foam machinery to expand operations. Focus heavily on marketing nationwide. 4-5 : rinse and repeat years 2-3. Continued focus o. Growth and obtaining ground work for successful operations and marketing. Expand marketing to department of defense and heavily promote within that sector. Set up private severs needed to accommodate DOD. I expect the business to really pick up in years 5-10. The first 5 years will be ground work at optimizing business practices and procedures. I’m a Mechanical Design Engineer. My ideas and designs are already within the sectors I’m pursuing. My past employers worked within the same field where I learned and honed my skill set. Also, where my designs and ideas are still put to work in the form of products and custom foam inserts. I have the knowledge background to be successful. I attended many meetings to offer professional advice to DOD representatives following ITAR guidelines.

Self Identified Competition
Case solutions: they were bought out by transpak. They have the means to offer a good product but lack professional leadership and quality. They lack procedures in place to grow properly. Bauer cases: in my past life , I wanted to use them as a vendor. It took 6months to get a quote back. That is entirely unacceptable. I can’t comment on work because their professionalism isn’t there. Jawstech: 3D printing. The way aren’t a local brand, I have used them in the past but the print quality is lacking. They have a streamlined process to deliver files for printing. But lack the skill set to execute properly. Most of my competitors companies were started by Salesmen. They aren’t founded in lean practices. They aren’t founded by engineers. That is why I’m different I have a green belt in lean six sigma which means I can identify and fix bottlenecks in the company holding back throughput. I’m an engineer which means I like to solve problems and issues at a practical level with great design work. I’m very persistent and willing to put in the work to make it right. I have yet to find a company locally that is as committed. .
