CABN Outdoors Inc. 92-2271235 | Government Grant Application

CABN Outdoors Inc. | Application Preview

CABN Outdoors Inc. is seeking government grants to support the prototyping and development of small-scale Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) aimed at addressing homelessness and providing essential services like internet access, water treatment, and off-grid living, particularly in rural areas. The funding will also help enhance marketing efforts to reach individuals across the U.S. in need of affordable housing solutions.

In the coming year, CABN plans to focus on securing multi-unit orders from the hospitality industry and development communities, which will lower operational costs for their manufacturing partners and generate sufficient revenue to establish a domestic production warehouse in Texas. Their goal is to offer affordable living options to digital nomads, vacation property owners, and mid-income earners looking for a stable and reasonably priced living solution.

CABN emphasizes the potential for growth, noting that over 20% of vacation rental properties are located in the U.S., with significant demand for additional housing options as population density increases. The company's ADU offerings could cater to a wide range of clients, allowing them to enjoy short-term stays or longer-term living arrangements at an affordable cost—especially appealing in the context of the growing remote work trend.

In terms of competition, CABN faces brands like Airstream, MoLiving, and CABN Co. from Canada. However, CABN distinguishes itself with a focus on outdoor living and sustainability, providing a more permanent and dignified housing option compared to the more transient solutions offered by its competitors. Their emphasis on affordability and accessible design positions them uniquely in the marketplace.

  • Funding Usage

Continue to prototype our dwellings and research and develop additional small scale ADU units to combat homelessness, provide access (internet, water treatment and off-grid living) to rural areas as well as push the marketing efforts along to reach individual across the US who need an affordable living solution at a fixed price point.

  • Business Plan

We are focusing our next year on multi-unit orders for the hospitality industry and development communities. This allows a lower operating cost for our factory partners and will generate enough revenue for us to fundraise towards a domestic production warehouse of our own in Texas. Our goal is to offer digital nomads, vacation property owners, mid-income earners who have dreamed of owning a piece of property but inhibited but unpredictable costs, and vacation rental hosts an affordable solution to enjoy nature. Over 20% of all vacation rental properties in the world are located in the continental U.S. States and municipalities understand US growth demands greater density and the outgrowth of the population to non-urban areas. In California and Texas alone, there are more than 60 million single-family residences: each one of these is a potential ADU client -ignoring the vast swathes of uninhabited rural land. Our product and research enable average citizens the opportunity to enjoy short-term or long-term stays with an affordable and transparent product for dwelling. This is also supported by the current trend of a shifting workforce toward remote work who can truly live anywhere.

  • Self Identified Competition

Airstream, MoLiving, and CABN Co.Canada. These not only represent competitors but also the competitive marketplace in general. Our Unique Value Proposition is our mandate toward outdoor living and sustainability. Airstream clients will always prefer remote and mobile living whereas our solution is fixed and permanent. MoLiving, Boxabl, and other solutions are too driven by hospitality or short-term needs and do not afford the dignity our design offers as a primary or secondary residence. CABN co Canada is pursuing cottages that are panelized and have much greater financial and square footage than our target market of affordability for everyone. see previous answer.
