Route 215 | Application Preview
Route 215 is applying for a government grant to support its expansion efforts. The business intends to purchase a 26-foot box truck, costing $50,000, to enhance its courier service by accommodating larger shipments. The annual insurance for the truck amounts to $15,000. A grant of $25,000 would cover a down payment on the truck and help manage the insurance costs.
The business plan focuses on leveraging the increased revenue from these larger shipments to invest in additional vehicles, specifically another box truck and a sprinter van, over the next five years. Furthermore, Route 215 is seeking to acquire a bread truck route or similar opportunities to establish consistent weekly income.
The applicant emphasizes their personal journey and motivation, sharing their experience working with Comcast and the impact of their RISE program, which supports minority and women-owned businesses. As a black woman in Philadelphia, this inspired the owner to pursue her dream of running a courier service. She expresses a commitment to creating a positive work environment for employees and providing fair wages.
Route 215 faces competition from businesses like Time Cycle, Instant Courier Services, and Rapid Delivery. However, the owner believes her passion and dedication set her apart, as she aims to inspire others, particularly young girls, to pursue their own paths to success. This passion for making a positive impact gives her a competitive edge in the industry.

Business Plan
Purchasing a box truck will allow me to capitalize on more profitable shipments. My 5 year plan is to invest the added revenue from these shipments into another box truck and also a sprinter van. I am actively looking to purchase a bread truck route or other similar ventures to provide consistent weekly income. I am grateful for your consideration. I work for Comcast and I piloted their RISE program, which aided minority/woman owned businesses with grants and free services to get their businesses jump started. I was touched by the emails I would receive from my clients stating the positive impact this program made for them. As a black woman in Philadelphia, this experience inspired me to pursue my dream of owning and operating my own courier service. If you invest in my business, you will be investing in my passion work. I will build this and be able to hire more employees. My goal as a boss is to provide my employees with a good wage and a well-managed low stress environment that they enjoy working in.
