Mrs Khan | Application Preview
Mrs. Khan's grant application outlines a need for financial assistance due to declining business and high payroll costs that are outpacing income. The restaurant is seeking funds to enhance advertising efforts and expand its menu, addressing the challenges faced in its initial months of operation.
She emphasizes the uniqueness of her business in the area and argues that with investor support, they can overcome current hurdles and improve both food quality and service, ultimately attracting more customers to Menlo Park and contributing to local growth.
The competition comprises Halal Street Newark and Kusan Uyghur Restaurant, both offering similar cuisine, while an unlicensed home kitchen also poses a challenge. However, Mrs. Khan highlights her restaurant's competitive edge, noting its appealing decor, dine-in options, and the preparation of meals from scratch, in contrast to competitors who rely on pre-packaged ingredients.

we are having lots of expenses and business getting slower than the first quarter of this year. The employees' paychecks and payroll taxes are really high, on top of that since we are getting more slow than usual, the income and expense are not proportional.

We are working on advertising and creating more items on the menu. Before we didn't do any advertising due to less experience in restaurant and training employees. Now we are ready but business getting slower than in our first few months. We are uniquee in this area, and if investors invest on us, we will able to deal with our currect problems and improve our food and service.
