Coeli Creative LLC | Application Preview

Coeli Creative LLC is applying for a government grant of $24,500, which will be used to cover various expenses critical for the company's establishment and growth. The funding will be allocated as follows: $1,900 for yearly operating costs including software and business insurance, $2,600 for travel expenses like gas and maintenance, $12,000 for first-year marketing expenses such as ads and website listings, and $8,000 for upgrading media equipment to enhance production quality.

In the first year, the focus will be on aggressive marketing to build a client base, while reinvesting profits into upgrading equipment. Direct marketing efforts will target local businesses and artists, creating mutually beneficial packages that promote both sides. Networking with local businesses will be crucial, including potential partnerships with screen printing and wedding venues for reciprocal referrals.

By the second year, Coeli Creative LLC plans to leverage its successes from the first to host ticketed public events and generate substantial profits. The third year will be dedicated to reaching a savings goal for a venue purchase, and the fourth year will involve hiring staff to support ongoing operations and event management. In the fifth year, the emphasis will shift to consistency in business operations and staff welfare, ultimately leading to full ownership of the venue.

The reasons given for funding approval emphasize the applicant's creative skills, determination, and a sustainable vision for growth, which includes creating job opportunities and investing in employee welfare. The applicant highlights a commitment to quality work and client satisfaction, viewing their success as a collaborative journey with clients and employees alike.

The competitive landscape includes challenges from AI-driven services and established media producers. • Business Plan

YEAR ONE: I plan to market my creative media services aggressively in the first year, use the profits to continuously upgrade my media equipment and accessories to stay creatively innovative and competitive in a robustly creative market (Austin, TX). Additionally, I plan to manage and produce all my own marketing, and use all grant money directly towards digital marketing costs, signage, website listings, and other local listings. I also plan to build my business to business network, and my artist network, as well as my social media following through participation in networking events, and by building relationships with local businesses (while simultaneously building my portfolio) by reaching out to offer my products with special packages for businesses and artists that can promote my services within their network as well. For example: 1. Promoting referrals for screen printing companies that can refer my photography and graphic design services to businesses in need of sign printing/ billboards. 2. Discounted venue advertising productions from my company can be offered to wedding and event venues that can in exchange refer my photography, videography and coordination services to clients interested in venue bookings at their locations. 3. Offering my services at discounted rates to artists in need of photography and videography services to promote their artistic works (ie. painters, art installers, metallurgists, innovative artists, lighting & design companies, etc.) YEAR TWO : In the second year, I plan to host my first ticketed public event production utilizing the profits from media productions and event coordination services gained over the first year, and to also utilize my connections from within my artists network to create a series of unique immersive art events (goal of three medium-large sized public events in year two with a profit goal of $35k-$50k per event). YEAR THREE: After establishing my presence and building my network in the first 2 years, I plan to continue with media and event productions until I reach my business savings goal of $150,000 which I would utilize towards down payment and other related expenses involved in purchasing my own venue, and a beer & wine license. YEAR FOUR: I plan to bring on salaried staff to assist in venue operations, and steadily continue to build revenue through continued event and media productions, as well as through venue rental sales. Profits will be focused toward venue mortgage, staff salaries and staff retention, savings for a liquor license, another aggressive year of marketing this time focused on venue rentals along with creative services. YEAR FIVE: Consistent steady business, gained profits continually focused toward staff benefits and retention, upkeep, operating costs and upgrades of venue and media equipment, steady marketing campaigns, and payments toward full ownership of the venue (ideally over the course of 10 years). Lastly, as the demand for my services grows, and eventually the demand for venue bookings as well, I plan to consciously raise price points in stride with the increase in demand and any inflation over time. I have the creative skills, I have the determination, logic and organization required to make my creative visions a reality- and I have an ambitious vision and plan for the future of my company. A $24,500 step up with upgraded media equipment in my first year, and assistance with marketing costs would be a huge boost to assist in my goals, marketability, and profitability. Additionally, I am highly creative so I am in the right market and am not intimidated by creative competition, rather I view my surrounding creative network as a massive opportunity for network growth. Investing in me, is also an investment in all the individuals that would gain work opportunities through the services my company provides and would provide in time through venue ownership. This includes hiring other creatives at public events, staff wages, vendor wages, and venue operator fees. In time, when I hire salaried staff, I plan to invest my time and care in my employees, including passing on knowledge, caring about the benefits and fair wages required to provide sustainable, healthy, happy lifestyles, and support for my employees- You would be investing in a human who actively invests in other humans as a principle. By investing in me, you would be investing in my ethics as a business owner. I stand by my quality of work, professionalism, respect and creative imagination. I see my clients' satisfaction as a joyful benefit to my days, and also as a crucial part of my growth as a company. I care about the sustainability of my choices as a business owner, as well as the caliber of the events and creative products I put out into the world. I push myself to always be better at what I do, and never stop growing, learning and innovating.

  • Self Identified Competition

    1. Artificial Intelligence- Many businesses will hire prompters to complete their creative services for them, but many small local business owners and private clients will still need the services I offer, and there is room to integrate the use of AI into my business to stay savvy in regards to the evolution of technology, (ie chatbots on my website, marketing assistance) 2. Established Media Producers- I must work efficiently, and market wisely, especially within my first year, to ensure my business remains visible and relevant amidst established media companies. Which is why I believe networking will be key to being viewed as a relevant producer of creative services within the network instead of being surpassed by it. I currently have connections within this network that I have fostered and will continue to foster. 3. High Volume Photography Services- Artisan creative services are easily overlooked by potential clients when a high volume, lower cost competitor pops up on a search next to my website. But I stand by the quality of my work being the difference- and many clients will choose artistic quality over photo quantity as a priority. While many of the applicants will be incredibly deserving of this grant, I am hopeful that upon reviewing my work, website, and business plan that my unique quality of work, creative passion, and capability will stand out to funders.
