The funding received through this grant would be utilized to purchase more product and secure advertising means to effectively provide this tool to schools and other mental health organizations for children. This capitol will also be crucial in securing the necessary patent to own rights to such tool.

In the 5 years I plan to grow business by collaborating with key members and organizations in the community that share like minded missions. This will help to effectively reach communities of low socioeconomic status and families in need of education and tools to enhance their futures. Additionally, I plan to grow the business by exhibiting at conferences, such as Toy Fair in NYC (attending this September), in order to maximize retail partners and nationwide access to consumers. Investors and other funding agencies should invest in me as an individual, and The Mindset Tapestry, because of the sheer passion, dedication and willingness to thrive I have for both myself and my business. I have an extraordinary vision for this product and where I want to take the company years to come. My mission is to raise the next generation more consciously, educate caretakers in all walks of life, and create a better and more promising future for children battling mental illnesses, poor self esteem, and traumas. I have created a product with the propensity to proactively meet the needs of mental health issues head on, rather than reactive treatments. As an educator myself, I have relationships with key contacts, influential members in the community, and the drive and passion to bring this product to the masses.

Slumberkins is a company that provides social emotional tools and toys to children. We definitely operate in the same space. With that said, there is not another company that offers a tool like The Mindset Tapestry. The tapestry is completely unique to the market which is why I have a non provisional patent pending and will be fulfilling that status this fall. I am different than any other competitor due to the nature of the product, which does not exist in the market right now. This is an interactive tool that engages children through a tactile experience, mirror talk (deepens cognitive understanding and self reflection, and increases support and acceptance through the facilitation of a caretaker. No other SEL product offers a multidimensional approach in this way. Our society has an imperative need for mental health assistance for children. This is the tool needed in homes, schools and therapeutic settings.
