X Ring by DMD, LLC 20235914180 | Government Grant Application

X Ring by DMD, LLC | Application Preview

X Ring by DMD, LLC is applying for government grants to support the purchase of tools, supplies, and retail merchandise aimed at boosting revenue. The business began as a small, one-person operation but has plans to expand into a retail location with set hours and hire an additional employee within two years, with the goal of becoming self-sustaining.

The justification for funding is based on the lack of archery-specific services in the area. Existing options, such as big box stores, are insufficient as they do not provide qualified assistance or a comprehensive range of products to enhance skills. The aim is to promote outdoor conservation and enhance the archery experience for the community.

In terms of competition, the primary players include Sportsman's Warehouse, which lacks knowledgeable staff and focuses on entry-level products; Bass Pro Shop, which offers mid-level options but also lacks expert personnel; and Lodi Archery, which caters to the high-end market. The owner of Lodi Archery has established a cooperative relationship, serving different market segments while aiming to improve overall customer satisfaction and support the growth of archery.

X Ring’s competitive edge lies in its personalized service. Unlike big box retailers that focus solely on entry-level products, X Ring emphasizes individual attention and expertise, ensuring customers have a satisfying shopping experience and the opportunity to develop their skills.

  • Business Plan

Starting as a small one man shop, I plan to move into a retail location with set hours and an additional employee within 2 years. The idea is the business pays for its own expenses. Our area is under served in archery needs. We do not have a pro shop near us that offers quality service and a positive customer experience. We have big box stores within 30 miles, but no one qualified to assist clients they way they need or offer the options to improve skills and quality. My goal is widen the level of awareness in outdoor conservation, experience and enjoyment.

  • Self Identified Competition

My top 3 competitors are Sportsman's Warehouse, they do not have quality personal just entry level merchandise to offer. Bass Pro Shop, they have multiple mid and entry level options but no qualified personal. Lodi Archery services high end market with the expertise to provide the high end services. The owner and I speak as we serve to different portions of the market in different geographical locations to help eachother grow and improve customer satisfaction and grow the sport of archery. The big box chains offer entry level product with no personal touch or experience to help clients grow. They have customers. I provide a more one on one experience with clients to ensure they have a positive personal experience and guarantee the satisfaction when shopping
