Not Your Husband’s Pickle | Application Preview
Not Your Husband’s Pickle is seeking government grants to increase production capacity and meet the growing demand for their pickles. The funding will be used to create more products, enabling the business to sell in at least ten local shops and grocery stores over the next five years. Additionally, they aim to significantly grow their social media following from 1,000 to 100,000 followers.
The founders, both veterans of the US Army National Guard, express their dedication to establishing a financially stable local business that provides community opportunities. Currently, there is no direct competition in their area, giving them a unique advantage. Their commitment to using only whole ingredients from a local farmers market sets their products apart. With competitive pricing and a loyal customer base, Not Your Husband’s Pickle is poised for growth and aims to expand its reach to a broader audience.

Funding Usage
Right now we simply just don’t have the capital to produce enough pickles to meet demand and grow. Our plan is to use the money to produce an abundance of our pickles so we can sell them out of more local shops in our area.

Business Plan
In the next 5 years we would like to sell our pickles in at least 10 different local shops and grocery stores. We would also like to continue to grow our social media account from 1,000 followers to 100,000 followers. My wife and I are both veterans of the US Army National Guard. I am currently still serving full time. Our dream is to use our passion for pickles and grow into a local business that can make us financially stable and provide more opportunities for people in our community.
-
Self Identified Competition
We don’t have any local pickle business competition at the moment. We believe in using all whole ingredients and no artificial flavors whatsoever. We also get all of our produce from a locally owned farmers market. We price our pickles more than fair and less than a year in we already have an extremely loyal customer base. We would love to grow and expand that reach to more people.
