Business Plan
This would be my second physical location. I am hoping to have success with this location and find another city that would thrive. Lake Charles does not currently have anything like this in the area and I would love to bring something different to this city. Our first location is a significantly smaller town and has had success, so I’m hoping we will have success here as well. Like I said previously, there is not anything like The Groovy Plants here yet. I would love to have a shop like this to shop at, and I’m confident other people would to. I believe that The Groovy Plants would be successful here, there is a huge plant market and community that collects all types of houseplants. Some go for hundreds of dollars. I would offer both common and uncommon houseplants for all budgets and needs. I also offer plant care and installations for local businesses. We carry a variety of other products, some made by local businesses. Pots, candles, plant care (soil, fertilizer, ect).

Self Identified Competition
Lowe’s, Home Depot and Walmart. These places typically all carry the same products from the same growers and don’t change often. Most people already own the plants that are offered at big box stores, and prices are comparable. We would offer a much wider variety of houseplants, including rare plants. I also have knowledge on these plants that big box stores typically do not. The Groovy Plants also offers plant installations for local businesses.
