  • Self Identified Competition

Friends that cook, Mint Personal Chefs, Hello Fresh, Blue Apron and Green Chef are some of our biggest competitors. All of which have history and popularity in the global market of course, but they are all missing one key ingredient that Chefs for Seniors has. Only two of these competitors come close by at least delivering freshly prepared, ready to eat meals for clients to later enjoy. All of the other companies offer online or by phone talking to an agent, meal planning services to be delivered either frozen but fully prepared meals or send you the ingredients, cooking instructions and you have to then prepare the meals yourself at home to enjoy. The number of senior citizens in the United States is expected to reach 80 million seniors by 2050. This demographic switch has created a growing demand for services that cater to seniors. Chefs for Seniors CHI NS recognizes that many seniors have difficulty cooking for themselves due to mobility issues or other health concerns. We aim to address this need by providing in home cooking services that are personalized to meet the unique dietary needs and preferences of each client. To assist in reaching these clients we will cater to and build relationships with local health care providers, case managers and other services and organizations that cater to and support seniors. Allowing is to build lasting relationships with these providers and a continuous flow of new clients that will finds us through these other organizations and their referrals to our service.
