Livingood Carpentry LLC 1277806 | Government Grant Application

Livingood Carpentry LLC | Application Preview

Livingood Carpentry LLC is applying for government grants to address financial challenges and enhance its operations. The funding will primarily be used to pay off an outstanding bill with Lowes, which has accumulated since the inception of the business. The owner highlights the necessity for several key items, including equipment for metal roofing and siding projects, a dump trailer for debris removal, a 16x30 storage shed for supplies, and a new 12-foot double axle trailer for transporting materials.

The business plan includes a future goal of hiring an employee to increase job capacity, reflecting the ambition to grow the business beyond a one-person operation. The owner emphasizes a strong work ethic and the desire to work independently rather than for someone else. Livingood Carpentry maintains a loyal customer base in a rural community, where the owner's reputation for honesty and quality workmanship has led to repeat business and referrals.

There is minimal competition in the area, with only a few individuals working part-time in similar trades. The owner believes that their dedication to quality gives them a competitive advantage, as the community recognizes their skills and integrity. This grant would greatly assist in alleviating current financial burdens and enable the growth and stability of the business.

  • Funding Usage

I would use the funding as a way to pay off Lowes bill that has accumulated a bit since starting the business. There are some bigger ticket items that are needed to be able to do some jobs. i am in need of a break. It is used when putting on metal roofs and siding. A dump trailer to be able to haul off al ruble left over. Build a 16x30 shed to store supplies. New pull behind 12 foot double axel trailer to haul supplies.

  • Business Plan

In the future I would like to hopefully be able to hire an employee to be able to do more jobs than I can do as a single. I am a very hard worker. I decided that working hourly for someone else who was reaping the benefits of my hard work was not what I wanted. I live in a small rual community and most of my work stays in the community. I have a really good reputation of being honest and doing good, dependable work. I have several customers that are repeat customers and who also recommend other customers to me. I believe this grant would help me out significantly and help me get the bills paid and the equipment I need to get ahead and to become financially stable.

  • Self Identified Competition

Where I live there is really no competitions for what I do. There are a couple of guys who do it on the side but not to the extent that I do. They do it as a side business. I would say the only competition I have right now is the Amis. The quality of my work. People in the community knows my work and knows the quality. They also know I am a Christian man, so they know I am honest and my word is golden. I have had to go behind other people and fixed their work. I have even had to fix problems that the Amish had left undone.
