Modern Grace 92-2404455 | Government Grant Application

Modern Grace | Application Preview

Modern Grace is applying for government grants to support the launch of a small boutique. The funding will be used to acquire essential items needed for the business. The plan emphasizes creating a clean, organized, and affordable shopping environment with a focus on exceptional customer service. In the future, there are aspirations to design and sell a unique kids' clothing line within five years.

The grant proposal highlights the applicants' extensive experience in customer service, with 15 years in the field. The owner will partner with her daughter, who has three years of boutique management experience, providing valuable insights into the business. Together, they possess creativity and skills necessary for engaging customers. The owner is also a seamstress with bookkeeping experience, ensuring solid management of the business's office operations. The daughter's marketing talent will help attract customers effectively.

The boutique faces competition from nearby women's clothing boutiques that charge higher prices and lack organized displays, leading to a negative shopping experience for customers. Modern Grace plans to differentiate itself by showcasing products in an appealing manner and providing budget-friendly, timeless clothing. A commitment to training staff will enhance customer service, ensuring shoppers feel welcomed, encouraging repeat visits.

  • Business Plan

We plan to keep our boutique clean, organized, affordable and have friendly customer service. With continuous improvement and to reach customer satisfaction and demand. I also see myself designing and selling my own kids clothing line closer to the five year mark. I have 15 years in customer service and know how to talk to people and engage with them to make them feel relaxed and comfortable. My daughter is going to be my partner in this boutique. She has managed a small boutique in our hometown for three years and knows all the ins and outs of the business. Me and my daughter are very inventive and know how to get people's attention. I'm a seamstress and hope to design and sell my own clothing line eventually. I have worked in an office doing bookkeeping and accounts payable and receivable and also found people to hire. I have the business knowledge to handle the office work. My daughter is extremely talented when it comes to marketing and advertising and will have no problem drawing people in. I feel like with the two of us we make the perfect team.

  • Self Identified Competition

Our top 3 competitors are women clothing boutiques. They carry clothes for double the price. They are not organized in an eye-catching fashion. They have way too many items shoved together and have too much to look at in one spot which drives clients to not want to look through the items. Their customer service representatives are not trained well. They have a lot of negative feedback because of it. We will be organizing in an interesting and seductive way to grab our customers attention. We will have affordable clothing that will be timeless and long-lasting. We want to display items to make customers feel like they have to have whatever they see. We want to train employees on properly helping customers and making their experience inviting and making them eager to return.
