V. V. Alchemy 001587766 | Government Grant Application

V. V. Alchemy | Application Preview

V. V. Alchemy is seeking government grants to create job opportunities and enhance community health through a retail space that focuses on natural and zero-waste products. The funding will support signage, promotional materials, inventory expansion, and the introduction of locally sourced health items. The owner is committed to establishing a hub for alternative health practices by offering tinctured remedies, healthy beverages, and a space for small local businesses.

The business has experienced significant growth, including partnerships with wellness professionals and plans for a consolidated retail location. The owner aims to open a school of herbalism that aligns with European educational standards, addressing a gap in the current market. Additionally, the proposal includes establishing a zero-waste station for eco-friendly products.

The justification for funding revolves around creating a positive impact in the community by providing ethically sourced health products and educational resources, promoting local investment over online shopping. V. V. Alchemy identifies an untapped market in the area, with potential for growth and demand for education on alternative health practices. The business differentiates itself through a holistic approach, focusing on customer education in addition to retail sales.

  • Funding Usage

As previously mentioned, I would like to create job opportunities within the community by hiring within the community. I will be requiring signage, a-frame signs, flags, promotional gear, business cards, more inventory for the health store. Some things I intend to bring to the community aside from tinctured medicine and teas, healthy sodas & seltzers made with real ingredients from a small farm, kombucha locally sourced, I’d really like to continue to bring small businesses within the community into my retail space. I have met a lot of wonderful people vending as I was spreading the word of my own business. I think the community needs a place to find clean zero waste products and natural alternative health offerings. A grant would assist me in doing so much faster vs an as I grow and mature over time frame of ability to do so. I have a very community led mission to bring items that benefit the people and can be sourced locally to benefit the surrounding artisans.

  • Business Plan

I have seen a rapid growth from start to where I am now. I am a part of a wellness practice in Franklin that consists of 3 acupuncturists, nutritionist, massage therapist, and reiki healers. From there I was able to open an additional office in North Attleboro, now I am currently seeking and in workings with a retail space that I can consolidate into one great space. I would like to become a resource for alternative health practices. I intend to bring in other modalities within my space and expand on giving people a space to seek alternative healthcare. I will be opening a school of herbalism, I already have a list of requests for this course. I offer classes as of now but would like to open an actual scientific evidence based program for students that mirrors European standards here within the US. This would make me the first to do so within our country vs the internet’s free for all taking place currently. Additionally, I would like to create a zero waste station offering clean detergents, shampoos, conditioners etc. I would be the first to do so in MA. Because, we are all trying to make the world a better place one person at at time. Invest your funds where it can make a difference within communities and benefit the greater good of society. Giving people a place to get ethically sourced holistic clean items vs online ordering which is essentially a blur of where these items are coming from and not actually investing within their own communities. Investing in this vision is an opportunity to put your money where it is returned 10 fold in multifarious ways.

  • Self Identified Competition

I don’t actually have any within this market area. I know of one herbal shop that does very well in Providence but they don’t offer the items that I have coming for my specific space. So, this is an untapped market. I know that the growth potential is there. I have lines of people at these vending opportunities that wait to chat about tinctures and alternative health practices because there’s not enough educated people out here on the matter. We always speak about how you go to the store and just stand there trying to guess. My aim is to bridge that guessing game and help people have an understanding of these matters. I believe what makes me different is that I’m looking at a whole picture practice. I am attempting to bring more than just basic retail sales of goods and put a lot of focus on education of individuals for their health and the health of the community by creating the educational pathway.
