Venom Towing LLC 61-1998665 | Government Grant Application

Venom Towing LLC | Application Preview

Venom Towing LLC is seeking government grant funding to enhance its business operations and community impact. The funds will be allocated towards purchasing an additional tow truck, upgrading existing equipment, securing a storage facility, acquiring new tools, and relocating to a better site.

The business plan includes strategies for advertising, establishing a dedicated website, expanding client relationships, broadening service coverage, and increasing job opportunities by adding more trucks. The owner aims to create a legacy for her family while contributing positively to the community through employment and donations to local organizations, as well as collaborating with law enforcement.

In terms of competition, the applicant acknowledges other towing services in the area but chooses not to speak negatively about them, aiming instead to change the perception of the towing industry. Her competitive edge lies in her resilience as a woman in a male-dominated field. Despite having fewer trucks and limited facilities compared to competitors, she emphasizes her compassion, determination, and commitment to fair pricing and excellent customer service.

The pandemic has presented challenges, making it costly and difficult to maintain her business, which ultimately impacts her ability to serve clients. The funding would help her overcome these hurdles and foster a more positive image of the towing profession.

If I am so granted this financial opportunity, the funds will be used by purchasing another tow truck, updating current equipment, securing a storage facility, purchasing new equipment, and moving to another location.

  • Business Plan

Advertising, having a designated website, building our clientele, expanding our coverage area, purchasing more trucks so that we can give employment opportunities, and obtain a secure storage and office facility. I am hardworking woman, I would like to build a legacy for my family, and I would like to give back to my community by way of employment opportunities, donating to local organizations, and working alongside of our law enforcement division.

  • Self Identified Competition

Prince's Towing, Holy City Towing, and DC's Towing. I have been taught that I if don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. So, I don't speak negative of my competitors. I just would like to change the overall perspective and stigma of the towing profession. Being that I am a woman in a male dominated profession, I often get classed as the underdog. I don't have nearly as many trucks on the road as my competitors. I don't have a storage facility, which limits my accessibility to grow my business. And I don't have the latest and greatest equipment to help my business be more accessible to a larger market. But what I do have is compassion, determination and shear power of will. I am determined to do whatever I need to do to be just as or more successful than my competitors. After all, at the end of the day, there is enough work for all to benefit. I have the compassion and willingness to help my fellow humans when it's needed. I believe in fair pricing, excellence in customer service, and professionalism. Which I can say through personal experience, is not the virtues my competitors employ. Having a vehicle towed is already a bad situation. No one really wants to call a tow truck due to the stigma of the stereotyped grungy, overpriced tow truck driver. I would love to have the opportunity be able to change that stigma. Up till now, I have been funding my business myself. Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic did affect my business, with the shutdown, having maintenance issues and repairs on my only truck has become very costly and time consuming, which in the end, not only affects me, but it also affects my clients.
