WoW Traffic Control | Application Preview
WoW Traffic Control is applying for government grants to support its business operations. The funding will be allocated primarily toward acquiring a truck, estimated to cost between $7,000 and $9,000, and purchasing a set of signs and cones for around $2,600. Additional monthly expenses include an insurance cost of approximately $410. Initial payroll needs are expected to vary between $5,000 and $20,000 based on the size and duration of contracts, with the goal of becoming self-sufficient after securing the second contract. The company anticipates that early contracts will last one to two weeks, with some potentially extending to a month or more.
The business plan outlines a growth strategy involving the acquisition of more contracts, hiring additional traffic control personnel, and reinvesting profits into more trucks and equipment. The owner’s husband has over a decade of experience in the field and is known for his strong reputation and work ethic among existing clients.
The application highlights the rapid growth in the region's infrastructure and the increasing demand for reliable traffic control services, particularly with ongoing road improvements and utility installations. With a well-structured approach, the company claims the potential for significant annual revenue if managed properly.
In terms of competition, the main rivals include TMI, AWP, and Advanced Traffic Control. While these companies have their strengths, WoW Traffic Control believes they can address a specific market gap by offering reliable service and a commitment to growth, positioning themselves as a responsive alternative to existing options.

Funding Usage
We will need 1 truck at about 7,000.00 to 9,000.00 and also a set of signs and cones which will come to 2,600.00. Insurance which will be approximately 410.00 monthly. Our payroll requirements will be small for the first few contracts and will range from 5,000.00 to 20,000.00 for the first few contracts depending on the size of the contracts. We plan to be fully self-sufficient after the second contract. We are expecting our first few contracts to be one to two weeks long. We do have the potential to get contracts that will last a full month or two, so that is why the payroll has such a large possible difference.

Business Plan
As we work with more companies we will expand by getting more contracts and hiring more TCS and flaggers and using our generated profits to buy more trucks and equipment like cones and signs and arrow boards. My husband has an amazing reputation with the companies he works with as a TCS and they all love the quality of his work and his work ethic. He has been doing this job for over 10 years. This area of Colorado is growing at a fast pace thus improvements to our roads and infrastructure is also growing at a fast pace. We need quality traffic control companies to help this happen and happen safely. With all the water mains and things like fiber internet cables going in the ground traffic control companies that can be trusted are in high demand. This type of company has the potential to make millions a year if run correctly.

Self Identified Competition
Our top three competitors are TMI, AWP, and Advanced Traffic Control. TMI is very limited on the contracts they will accept preferring to only work with electric companies. AWP is a good company but as of late has changed ownership hands too many times, so companies that need traffic control are not sure what to think of them yet. Advanced Traffic Control is a very nice company but it can only do so much and is not ready to grow to the extent that this end of Colorado needs at this time. They are all great companies but we believe we can fill a much-needed gap. We have the desire to grow and expand at the pace needed by our area of Colorado. We will have a much-needed quality work ethic and will work with all companies needing traffic control.
