Archer's Automotive Restoration | Application Preview
Archer's Automotive Restoration is applying for government grants to establish a physical storefront that will encompass multiple services, including an automotive repair shop and a trailer rental business. The plan involves not only setting up a main location but also expanding to additional sites once a solid client base is established.
The business aims to grow its rental offerings by providing a diverse selection of trailers, recognizing that a greater inventory can lead to increased demand. Additionally, there are aspirations to hire local employees, thereby contributing to the community's economic growth.
The application highlights the owner’s dedication to the business, emphasizing a strong work ethic and a willingness to commit extensive hours to ensure success. Support from family and friends is also mentioned as an essential factor in achieving their goals.
In terms of competition, local automotive repair shops will be key rivals, while larger national chains like U-Haul, Lowe’s, and Home Depot pose a challenge for the trailer rental segment. Archer’s competitive advantage lies in its personable, affordable service, a wide range of trailer options, and an emphasis on trustworthy and efficient automotive repairs, which together aim to set the business apart from its competitors.

Business Plan
I plan to eventually expand to multiple locations. Once a clientele bases achieved that will bring repeat business back, I would consider expanding to other locations. For the trailer, rental business, obviously, the more selection and supply there is available more opportunity for that business to grow. I would eventually like to hire employees that would be local to the location to support the economy. Investor should invest in me, because I am willing to do whatever it takes. This means being the first one in and the last one out every day. I’m willing to put in the long hours that would be required to make this business successful. I also have a strong support system to help me succeed.

Self Identified Competition
In terms of the automotive shop, all mom and Pop automotive stores would be competitors. In regards to the trailer, rental business, U-Haul, Lowe’s, and Home Depot would be the biggest competitors. I believe a combination of being personable and affordable would be our biggest assets making us different from competitors. In regards to the trailer rentals, having a large selection and diverse selection would make us different from our competitors. In regards to the automotive shop, affordable rates and speedy/trustworthy services provided would catapult us above our competitors.
