Familia Espanol 84-2096009 | Government Grant Application

Familia Espanol | Application Preview

Familia Espanol is seeking government funding to purchase a food trailer and necessary equipment for their mobile Latin food business. The funding will be used for a compact food trailer, appliances including stovetops and fryers, a three-compartment sink, a coffee station for serving Colombian, Mayan, and Peruvian coffee, as well as a Chevy Silverado 2500 for transportation.

The business plan focuses on strategic marketing and finding locations with high foot traffic to attract customers. Familia Espanol intends to offer a unique menu while also providing familiar items to entice a broader audience. The strategy includes offering free samples to encourage customers to try new dishes. They plan to participate in local farmers markets and have established connections with event organizers, as well as a marketing partnership with the Foood Dude app, to promote their offerings.

The applicant has extensive experience gained from working alongside food trucks and is confident about the potential for profitability. They have prepared menus for different times of day and seasons, and they are ready to showcase their food to potential investors. The menu features Latin fast food options such as Cuban sandwiches, tacos, and empanadas.

Familia Espanol acknowledges existing competition from established food trucks, such as Birria Kings and Taco Picasso, but emphasizes their competitive edge in offering unique gourmet sandwiches, filled with marinated proteins not commonly available in the area. The applicant believes this differentiation will attract a dedicated customer base and contribute to future growth.

  • Business Plan

Marketing and location are key. Getting this Food Trailer in the location where there is much foot traffic will be the main focus as well as locations that are more inclined to try and a unique menu like the one I offer. But don't be fearful. I will have things on the menu that are a little more common that I know people gravitate to. I know that majority of customers tend to buy food that they know they will like but I guarantee you once they have a taste they will be more open to trying what I have to offer. The way I will be able to make this happen is by offering free samples of our other items to get people to be interested. Getting myself into farmers markets like SDSU will be a little easier. I have already made great connections with the people in charge of that location as well as UCSD. I also have a connection for great marketing with a company named Foood Dude app this company, I have a great connection with that they have offered me the opportunity to be on their platform for free. The next 5 years I know I could grow in expand with the tools that I can be provided with the investment. There are so many different events that go on in San Diego throughout the whole year like Taco fest, beer fest, and wine festival, as well as concerts and sports events that happen at Snapdragon and the Viejas arena. My team and I are ready and eager to start this new adventure taking Familia Espanol Hispanic Street Food to a whole other level. I have been working alongside two food trucks for the past 4 years and have learned so much that I feel confident enough that my menu will be successful. I honestly believe that with the knowledge I have profit margins will be high. I have farmer's market locations that I know will accept me coming in. I have all my documents in order to professionally be able to provide my service anywhere in San Diego, I like to go. I have a menu for the morning and afternoon, as well as a special menu for fall & winter and spring & summer. I would love to present a taste test for any investors that would be interested. We offer Latin fast food like Cuban sandwiches, Tacos, and Empanadas.
