Trophies and more 1041-1859 | Government Grant Application

Trophies and more | Application Preview

Trophies and More is applying for government grants to support several key initiatives for the upcoming spring season. The funds will be used to restock inventory, retain employees, advertise through billboards and TV, and pay bills a month in advance.

The business plan includes expanding the product line by adding more concrete statues and potted plants. Additionally, Trophies and More aims to establish an art glass showroom that features Fenton glass and other antique pieces to attract customers during the winter months.

The application emphasizes the owner's 24 years of experience, highlighting the ability to adapt to economic changes and stay in tune with market trends. Despite past competition, including a price-cutting printing company, Trophies and More has maintained its customer base and continued operations without significant rivals at present.

The competitive edge lies in the owner’s extensive knowledge of labor costs, goods pricing, and the local market. While COVID-19 has posed challenges, the business has proven its resilience by actively seeking new avenues for growth and sustainability.

  • Business Plan

I plan to add more concrete statues and sell potted plants. I also plan to open a art glass show room. Featuring Fenton (was made in West Virginia) and other antique glass. That will help Carry me thru the winter months. I’ve done this for 24 years. I have the ability to add and change due to the economy. I also know what sell and I keep up with the new trends.

  • Self Identified Competition

Well before Covid it was moco printing. They can here five years ago cut my price! I keep my stuff the same. I knew they couldn’t do it for long with out going down. And I was right. I keep all my big accounts and keep right on going As of right now I wouldn’t have any real competitors. I’ve had many over the years but they came in big and went out fast. I’ve done it for 24 years and know how much to add for labor cost of goods and the market in my area. COVID has really hurt me along with the rest of the world. But I’ve managed to adapt and look for new things to add to stay open.
