Kool Girl Section | Application Preview
Kool Girl Section is seeking government grants to expand its salon business and brand by investing in new locations and a commercial property with retail and rental spaces. The plan includes furthering education in beauty trends to enhance client services and creating employment opportunities within the industry.
The business aims to host annual hair shows that promote local stylists and foster community networking, ultimately enhancing brand visibility. Securing funding would facilitate the acquisition of a property to house the salon while generating additional cash flow from rentals. The goal includes opening more salons nationwide and developing an educational institute to train future cosmetologists.
Kool Girl Section highlights its community involvement and over 20 years of experience as key competitive advantages, focusing on collaboration rather than competition with other stylists. The annual hair shows not only showcase talent but also strengthen community ties, benefiting both the business and the local beauty industry.

Self Identified Competition
I am unaware of my competitors because I focus on building my brand and inviting other stylists and barbers to participate in my hair shows to network and build a group to support one another’s development and embrace our different talents. I have been in this business for over 20 years and I involve myself in the community by doing annual hair shows which bring the community together with local business. This gives everyone the opportunity to mingle and become aware of the work each are capable of doing. This also helps with encouraging development and the ability to display our creativity to new clients as well as keep the ones we already have.
