  • Funding Usage

My name is Miss Dusty Bledsoe and I am the owner/CEO of Bonnie Leasing & Sons, LLC. I am asking for grant money to help purchase a newer septic pumping truck to kick start my business and be an instrumental part of the economic growth in my community. As a female CEO, in a male dominate industry, I am challenging the stereotype in our small community and I’m setting an example for all future entrepreneurs. We have a large demand for septic pumping in our community and surrounding rural areas. We are currently operating with a 1990 truck (34 years old) that is constantly needing maintenance and new parts. This is hindering our operations and impacting the profitability of my small company. With this grant money I will purchase a newer septic pumping truck that ranges from $100,000 up to a brand new truck at $250,000. A safe & reliable truck is key to the success of Bonnie Leasing & Sons. This will eliminate 80% of our overhead costs and allow us to invest in marketing, which will increase profit and demand for our service and that will lead to expansion and job creation. As my company grows, my goal is to give back to my community in the same form. I’m passionate about our environment and that is why I’m in the septic pumping industry. I want to pay it forward with educational grants in the future. Thank you for your consideration and I will be grateful for any amount that will help reach my goal.
