Living Success Center 95-3094632 | Government Grant Application

Living Success Center | Application Preview

Living Success Center is seeking government grants to enhance their mental health services by recruiting and training more therapists and supervisors. This funding will help expand their facilities, enabling better access for underserved populations and helping to raise awareness through advertising campaigns.

Currently, the center offers over 6,700 hours of therapy annually, with an aim to increase this to 15,000 hours within three years. In Orange County, there are approximately 120,000 adults suffering from severe psychological distress without treatment, highlighting the urgent need for intervention.

The center serves a diverse clientele facing various challenges, including severe depression, anxiety, relationship issues, substance abuse, and loneliness. They provide comprehensive therapy options—individual, couples, family, adolescent, and specialized support groups—tailored to individual needs and offered at low fees based on income.

In addition to therapy, Living Success Center operates as a training facility for aspiring therapists, offering 3,000 hours of supervised internship required for state licensing. They collaborate with local universities, providing internships at no cost to the interns, while also ensuring quality through certified supervisor oversight.

The center recognizes the need for continued growth and is actively exploring partnerships with transitional housing, youth shelters, and hospitals to further expand their reach. Unlike other government-run mental health clinics that often have long wait times, Living Success Center can offer services within two weeks and provides long-term support as necessary, with flexible fees based on the individual’s financial situation and additional low-cost psychiatry options.

  • Business Plan

At this time we're providing over 6700 hours of therapy each year. Our goal is to reach 15,000 the next 3 years. The latest data available says that in Orange County alone, 120,000 adults in severe psychological distress receive no treatment The rate of treatment among children and youths is lower. We all know the societal cost of this. We need to act fast to make an impact. A broad spectrum of clients come through our doors with a wide range of issues including sever depression, anxiety, marriage and relationship challenges, substance abuse, parenting issues, school difficulties, career changes and loneliness. We help individuals cope with their life situation, learn skills required to live self-sufficiently and improve their interaction with others, while decreasing their depressive symptoms, anxiety and anger. We provide several proven alternative psychotherapeutic modalities of treatment, as determined by the needs of individual clients. Services are not time limited; we provide in-depth, long term psychotherapy when needed. We offer individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, teen/adolescent therapy, child play therapy, parenting skills classes, social skills groups, woman’s support groups, sexual abuse survivors groups and anger management groups all at low fee based on the individual’s income. Living Success Center is also a training facility. Therapists are required to complete 3000 hours of internship, under a certified supervisor, before taking state licensing tests. We work with local universities to provide internships for their students and graduates. Certified supervisors are paid by the Center and provided to the interns at no cost. The supervisors ensure that all interns function in a legal and ethical way and provide the best therapy for each individual client. We provide both an individual and group supervisor for every intern, as well as quarterly trainings directly associated with therapeutic interventions, all at no cost to the intern. Though we are excited about these programs and the larger reach it gives us, it’s not enough. We are continuing to look for other opportunities to serve others and hope to approach transitional housing environments, youth shelters, senior housing, hospitals, etc. These partnerships will allow us reach more people needing our services, while remaining financially viable.

  • Self Identified Competition

Government run mental health clinics are the only other low-to-no cost facilities in the marketplace. We differ as we can get people into our services within 2 weeks, while other clinics have waiting lists that are often months long, and our services have no time limit.
