Sharon Engram 339721178 | Government Grant Application

Sharon Engram | Application Preview

Sharon Engram's grant application outlines the need for funding to improve the safety and upkeep of her current care facility, which is over 40 years old. The proposed funding of $30,000 aims to enhance the environment for clients, particularly focusing on those with Parkinson's and other neurological conditions.

Engram's business plan emphasizes compliance with government regulations for the care of disabled and elderly individuals. She envisions developing a dedicated facility that takes a holistic approach to treating people with Parkinson's, addressing their medical, rehabilitation, and spiritual needs. This facility would be a valuable resource, especially for those in rural areas who lack access to specialized care.

The reason for funding approval is underscored by the decline in motor skills experienced by her Parkinson's client due to the lack of access to programs like Rock Steady Boxing during COVID-19 lockdowns. Engram notes that the current community resources are insufficient for individuals with neurological disorders, highlighting the urgency for an all-inclusive facility dedicated to this pressing health issue.

The application acknowledges competition from distant nursing homes and hospitals, which do not specialize in Parkinson's. Engram's competitive edge lies in her commitment to this specific population, offering a depth of understanding and comprehensive care that is currently lacking in existing care facilities. Ultimately, she plans to secure long-term funding to create a larger, specialized center that could serve as a central authority on neurological diseases, needing an estimated $700 million to establish.

To update and maintain care of client. The current location is at least 40 years old and is in much needed updates to make the location more safe for client

  • Business Plan

The business is to stay in compliant with governmental regulations on care and safety of the disable and elderly. Eventually, I would like to create a facility separate from current location that works solely on a facility dedicated to wholistic approach to those with Parkinson's and Neurological disorders My client has Parkinson's. He was going faithfully to Rock Steady Boxing for Parkinson's. When the lockdown happened because of COVID19, this was no longer available to him and a noticeable difference in his motor skills declined. There are many in this community with Parkinson's and some form of Neurological disability. The initial request of 30,000 is to help with me maintaining current location. I would hope the investors could see how creating a much larger all inclusive facility dedicated to the study, rehabilitation, medical, spiritual, wholistic approach to the care for this disease that is on a rise and there is currently no known cure, but for those who live in rural locations do not have one dedicated place to be an authority on this disease or any neurological disease/disorder. Eventually, I would like to purchase land and build a dedicated location outside of urban location, and work with the leading non profit organizations dedicated to Parkinson's, That would require at least 700 million to build and outfit and employee the staff to run the entire place

  • Self Identified Competition

Currently, my competitors are nursing homes and hospitals that are over 20 miles away. The nursing homes are within 5 to 10 miles. However, they are limited and not dedicated to this specific disease I am dedicated to this specific cause, separated from competitors. Other than hospitals most nursing homes do not have a complete understanding of this disease and can not give the total wholistic care needed to have the best quality of life
